Job Description


  • The incumbent will provide technical leadership at the state and work with a team of clinical and other CIHP technical staff to provide support for health facility multidisciplinary HIV/AIDS care and treatment teams, to strengthen the provision of quality HIV care, support, and treatment including Adult and PaediatricART, TB-HIV, and PMTCT services to PLHIV, including pregnant and postpartum HIV positive women and their babies.
  • The objective of this position is to strengthen the leadership and the capacity of the supported facilities in coordination with all stakeholders. to ensure access to quality HIV prevention, care and treatment services for PLHIV; support the integration of HIV services into existing services in the health sector, and strengthen the clinical management of Tuberculosis, Malaria and other diseases.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • Advanced degree in Nursing/Midwifery, Medicine, or Public health.
  • Robust clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and antiretroviral treatment.
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment programs, specifically Adult and Paediatric ART, TB-HIV and PMTCT (5 years’ experience preferable).
  • Excellent grasp of clinical issues and current literature in HIV/AIDS management, including Adult and Paediatric ART, PMTCT, TB-HIV collaboration and other emerging chronic public health diseases.
  • Ability to work independently and with strong problem-solving skills including the ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action.
  • Experience in developing country health care programs.
  • Experience in training.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
