Job Position: Facility Manager
Job Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities

• Inspecting buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
• Planning and coordinating all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
• Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
• Overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishments
• Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and dealing with the consequences
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
• Supervise multi-disciplinary teams of facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers, gardeners etc.) and external contractors
• Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
• Drafting reports and making written recommendations and oral presentation
• Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
• Planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings, or re-organizing current premises
• Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
• Allocate office space according to needs and manage space between buildings
• Handle insurance plans and service contracts
• Perform analysis and forecasting
• Overseeing and agreeing contracts and providers for services including security, technology and so on
• Ensuring that basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years working experience as a facility manager.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Good analytical/critical thinking
• Must be resident in Lagos preferably, within Ajah and or its environs
• A minimum of OND/HND/ Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Estate Management, Engineering, Business Administration or relevant field
• Professional qualifications such as CFM, FMP etc will be added advantage.
• Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
• Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
