Job Responsibilities

  • The offshore Construction Superintendent is re4xnsible for the oversight of the activities of the Construction Inspectors and field engineers assigned to him/her.
  • This position must ensure that the Constriction within his/her control is safe, cost-effective, stnictib1e and timely.
  • Must have the ability to immediately recognize typical oilfield material types and differences and develop a working knowledge of the project specifications, as well as the referenced industry standards, and must be able to read and thoroughly understand piping drawings, isometrics and shop drawings.
  • This position shall investigate any outstanding or punch list items or concerns and provide timely responses to project team members.
  • This position must be Knowledgeable in oil and gas production. He must communicate regularly and constructively with the Company Site Representative, Project Engineer, Operations Representatives, Scheduler, project safety representatives, project logistics coordinator and production and maintenance personnel
  • The Construction Superintendent shall ensure proper installation and handling of Company assets at the various project sites as well as review, advise and monitor anchor handling operations, lift plans and other marine activities
  • Maintain DPRs
  • Review all MTOs to verify acceptability
  • Provide supporting documents for MCC approval
  • Collect completed drawings and submit to QA/QC within 24 hours of fabrication completion. Drawings to include the following fitter information
  • Heat Numbers for materials utilized
  • Pre-weldout dimensional confirmation
  • Obtain Fab drawings from QA/QC Department (Project Manager or Company Rep) and Assign /Issue and communicate any specific fabrication requirements and needs.

Job Requirements

  • A good Engineering or related disciplines degree
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in offshore construction arid fabrication
  • Minimum 5 years of offshore or onshore construction supervision experience dealing directly with welders, fitters, riggers, and other construction personnel
  • Full understanding of construction codes in line with the subject discpline is required.
  • Experience working on Offshore/Onshore existing facilities (Brownfield) is high desirable a Must be able to read and interpret Blueprints
  • Must be able to pull measurements and be familiar with all drawings per job scope
