Duties and responsibilities
Amongst other duties, the Quality Control Manager will:

Implement and Manage the Quality Control Environment:

  • Implement a Brewery Wide Quality Management Vision and Strategy
  • Implement and Lead Integrated Quality Management Systems
  • Sustain and Maintain Quality Ethos at Brewery Level

Lead and Assure the Integrity of the Quality Measurement Systems:

  • Lead Measurement Management
  • Assure Governance and Integrity of Results and processes

Analyse Data to Identify Quality and Food Safety Risks:

  • Lead Brewery/Plant Wide Quality Problem Solving and Improvement Initiatives

Protect Organisation Reputation and Product Integrity:

  • Align Stakeholders to Policy and Legislation
  • Enforce HACCP and all food safety initiative.
  • Manage Trade Quality Function
  • Manage Consumer Complaint
  • Manage Supplier Partnering Programme

Manage Financial Performance (Management):

  • Manage Budget Process and Control Departmental Costs
  • Build Business Acumen

Manage Occupational Health, Safety, Risk and Environment (Level 3):

  • Apply Occupational Health, Safety and Risk Procedures

Manage Human Resources:

  • Develop Employees and Manage Performance of Direct Reports
  • Ensure a Healthy Industrial Relations Climate
  • Manage and Apply Personnel Processes and Communicate Effectively In the Workplace

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Microbiology or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Quality in a brewery or FMCG environment.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage

Requirements:

  • Understanding of process control within a brewing/process environment
  • Assertive and analytical
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Good understanding of the principles and practices of Manufacturing Excellence & knowledge of manufacturing way principles
  • Analytic problem solver, proactive, independent and high on initiative
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Microsoft office proficiency i.e. MS word, Excel & PowerPoint
