Water Production Officer

Our client is a leading agricultural production company involved in the use of sustainable methodology to produce crude palm kernel oil (CPO), crude kernel oil (CKO) and their derivatives. Roles and Responsibilities

1. Ability to manage and coordinate maintenance with internal and external service providers, process improvements, budget preparation, production reporting and business planning.
2. Ability to undertake projects and follow through from start to full completion, including the preparation of business cases, material procurement, on time completion, maintaining quality and managing costs.
3. Be a safety champion and ensure safety of people property and environment.
4. Supervise all floor production activities.
5. Analyze statistical data on water production quality and quantity.
6. Liaise with regulatory authorities.
7. Investigate reasons for lapses in water production and suggest changes or solutions to these problems.
8. Identify process deviations and perform root cause/corrective action
9. Ensure safety and efficiency of the facility
10. Maintain compliance with facility standards and guidelines including without limitation SON, NAFDAC, HSE etc.
11. Enlighten self and Helpers of Plant production policies.
12. Conduct area inspections and audits.

Qualifications

• Microbiologist, Biochemist & Food Scientist Certification.
• 4 years relevant experience.

Skills / Competencies

• Detail-oriented with proficiency for accuracy
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting abilities
• Basic math skills and the ability to compute decimals and percentages
• Basic computer skills with good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Previous manufacturing experience or proven experience in hands-on problem-solving skills and, plant process management.
• Exposure to management systems (Quality, Environment and Safety).
