Job Position: Account Officer
Job Location: 169 Tetlow Road, Owerri - Imo

About the Role

• We are looking for a diligent and organized Account Officer to manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure proper record-keeping across our business operations.
• The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail, good analytical skills, and the ability to maintain financial accuracy under minimal supervision.
• The role supports the company’s accounting processes and ensures transparency and accountability across all units.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions (sales, expenses, and payments) accurately and promptly.
• Reconcile cash, POS, and bank transactions on a daily/weekly basis.
• Maintain up-to-date ledgers and financial records.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and statements.
• Verify supporting documents for all payments and ensure proper authorization.
• Track accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely settlements.
• Support internal and external audit processes with relevant documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and company information.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND qualification / B.Sc. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• 3 - 8 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial record management.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or Sage is an advantage).
• Strong numerical accuracy, honesty, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
