Administrative Officer Job at Peace Building Development Consult (PBDC)

The Peace Building Development Consult (PBDC) was established to advocate for, develop and promote a deeper understanding of peace and reconciliation in our world. We started operation in 2004 as a research group that seeks to explore a wide range of conflict and peace related matters with specific reference to Africa and Africans in Diaspora. Our work started in Jeffrey’s bay, South Africa, and since then, we have developed ten main arms of operation to help achieve this vision.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Administrative Officer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT) or any State in Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time
Report to: Executive Director


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the HR department with interviews and job postings.
  • Developing office budgets and spending reports.
  • Maintaining an inventory of office supplies and placing orders for new ones as required.
  • Writing routine reports on spending and budgets for the office
  • Updating office policies and maintaining and updating databases
  • Distributing and keeping track of correspondence (such as emails, letters, and packages);
  • Keeping track of the company calendar and making appointments;
  • Arranging critical business documents in a methodical manner.
  • Sending staff members all correspondence, including letters and packages.
  • Making conference room reservations and meeting schedules.
  • Contracting with vendors to fix or swap out broken office supplies.
  • Creating an effective filing system to preserve sensitive company information; promptly responding to inquiries from clients and staff;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Business Management is advantageous.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience working in an office environment.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of business management.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Salary
