AT&A Retail Limited, a subsidiary of AT&A Group, was incorporated in October 2015 to carry on the business of logistics and distribution (courier services, e-commerce delivery support, warehouse deliveries and transportation and supply chain logistics solutions), retail management, e-commerce and franchise management. The Company commenced operations in September 2016.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Logistics Officer
Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Logistics Officer is responsible for picking up consignments from customer’s location at pre-determined locations and on a set schedule, packaging the consignments and the distribution of same.

The Roles

• Correspond with customers to arrange pickup and delivery of consignments
• Physically package outgoing goods and ensure accuracy
• Plan and track the shipments to final destination in line with the customer requirements
• Prepare airway bills
• Keep records of shipment packing, transportation mode, cost of shipment, arrival time and other important factors in the shipping process
• Provide and maintain good customer service and solve problems;
• Prepare goods for shipment (packaging);
• Manage activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met;
• Continually review freight costs and transportation rates to keep costs down where possible
• Streamline shipping and transportation processes
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management
• Prepare invoices
• Flexibility as the job may require odd hours
• Any other duties as requested by the supervisor

Requirements
Educational:

• The Logistics Officer must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in preferably logistics or supply chain management.

Experience:

• The Logistics Officer should be a seasoned, well experienced individual with a minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in a similar function or from administrative jobs encompassing logistics, shipping or warehousing

Knowledge:

• The Logistics Officer must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
  • Supply management principles and practices.

• Basic computer skills
• Strong excel skills
• Great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach;
