Job Summary

• As the backend engineer, your primary responsibilities would be to design, develop and maintain web applications and services that are built on the .NET framework.
• You would be expected to work closely with other developers, project managers, and business analysts to ensure that the software you create meets the requirements of the end users.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for deploying, supporting, monitoring and troubleshooting large scale micro-service based distributed systems with high transaction volume;
• Documenting the IT infrastructure, policies and procedures. Work closely together with development teams to implement and automate systems and architectures.
• Design, deploy, and maintain tools and services to support a robust infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain databases that support web applications.
• Integrate web applications with third-party tools and services.
• Ensure the security and integrity of backend systems by implementing appropriate security protocols and measures.
• Conduct unit tests and automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of backend systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with backend systems.
• Take end-to-end ownership of backend features and services: from requirements clarification and system design to implementation, deployment, and production support.
• Actively participate in technical decision-making, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Own the operational health of the services you build, including monitoring, debugging, and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with other members of the development team to ensure project timelines and milestones are met.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in backend development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field.
• 2 – 4 years of direct programming experience.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills as well as an ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines.
• Proven success as a .NET Developer.
• Comprehensive understanding of the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns (e.g., CLEAN Architecture) and grasp of different architecture styles/APIs including REST and RPC.
• Experience in the finance or fintech sector is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail.
• Professional fluency in English is vital, both written and spoken.
