Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers
Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers to join our dynamic team in Warri, Delta State. In these roles, you will design, develop, oversee, and maintain various construction and engineering projects within the oil and gas sector. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, sustainability, and timely completion of projects.
1. Civil Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and supervise construction projects while ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to determine project requirements and constraints.
- Develop comprehensive engineering designs, including site layouts, foundations, and structural elements, while considering environmental and safety factors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate civil engineering aspects into overall project plans.
- Prepare accurate project cost estimates and timelines to ensure compliance with budget constraints.
- Oversee construction activities to maintain quality control and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving issues to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to enhance project success.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for tender submission.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and advancements in civil engineering, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
- Relevant project, professional, and safety certifications (COREN, ISPON, etc.).
- A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant Civil Engineering experience, specifically on oil and gas projects.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong project management and scheduling capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Project.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and codes.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies.
2. Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate mechanical equipment and determine maintenance needs.
- Assess the performance of mechanical components, devices, and engines.
- Implement preventive maintenance following company policies and schedules.
- Modify and maintain equipment along with the processes that support them.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) and modeling software for engineering tasks.
- Coordinate with contractors oversee their work and research to analyze equipment performance.
- Perform risk assessments to evaluate the feasibility of mechanical projects and execute testing procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, and documentation, analyze and interpret engineering data and drawings. Conduct engineering calculations to support design initiatives.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and personnel effectively.
- Conduct preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
- Plan, conceptualize, and design mechanical solutions for new products.
- Generate and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and liaise with vendors and contractors.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for tender submission.
- Maintain thorough documentation to track project progress and design processes.
- Ensure project deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Relevant project, professional, and safety certifications (COREN, ISPON, etc.).
- 5-10 years of experience in technical and mechanical engineering.
- Strong project management and scheduling skills, Proficiency in MS Project.
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE).
- Knowledge of engineering analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, ProMechanica).
- Proficiency in mathematical computing and analysis tools (e.g., Matlab, Excel, LabView).
- Solid understanding of core concepts such as mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
- Creative thinking and strong analytical abilities.
3. Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Actively engage in technical reviews, including Design Reviews, HAZOP, SAFOP, SIL, 3D modeling, and constructability assessments.
- Serve as the Company representative, as needed, to verify that contractor designs comply with Company specifications and applicable industry codes and standards.
- Ensure that engineering designs and work packages are appropriately organized for effective implementation.
- Assess technical matters related to proposal preparation and evaluate equipment for compliance with performance criteria.
- Handle the procurement of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment, including preparing vendor bid inquiries, analyzing bids, and selecting vendors.
- Review and approve technical proposals, drawings, and operational and maintenance manuals from vendors, and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and shop tests when required.
- Support the resolution of field issues during construction by evaluating field change recommendations and implementing effective solutions to minimize operational challenges.
- Provide essential electrical and instrumentation technical support to ongoing operations across all the organization’s assets.
- Collaborate with other disciplines as needed to offer assistance and address challenges.
- Ensure adherence to the Company’s ISO Quality Procedures, Project Quality Plan, and Design Integrity processes.
- Take full responsibility for assigned tasks while collaborating with various disciplines, departments, and business units to ensure successful task completion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in electrical engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in electrical and instrumentation systems, project management, and relevant software tools.
- In-depth knowledge of national and international regulations, and ability to troubleshoot issues.
