We are currently recruiting to fill the vacant position below:

Job Position: Compliance Officer
Job Location: Lagos 

Summary of Job Role

• To ensure that the organization complies with its outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policies, bylaws and other employees follow internal company rules while review employees work and provide advice on compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program
• Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
• Draft and revise company policies
• Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
• Evaluate business activities (e.g. investments) to assess compliance risk
• Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed
• Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
• Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
• Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance
• Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals
• highlight or escalate areas of concern
• contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organisation
• review marketing materials, presentations and websites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Executive minimum of 3 years
• Experience in risk management
• Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, etc)
• Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
• Excellent communication skills
• Integrity and professional ethics
• Business acumen
• Teamwork skills/Plays well with others
• Passion and Attention to detail
• Good critical thinking skills
• HND/Degree holder in relevant discipline
