Job Position: Drilling Engineering Supervisor

Job Location: Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt - Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• To lead and manage drilling engineering activities to ensure wells are designed and executed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively in line with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for drilling operations and well delivery strategy.
• Supervise and mentor drilling engineers and field personnel.
• Develop and approve drilling programs, casing designs, and well architectures.
• Monitor daily operations, analyze performance, and resolve drilling challenges.
• Control operational cost and optimize drilling performance (ROP, NPT).
• Oversee contractor performance and service quality.
• Support contract management and procurement decisions.
• Monitor daily drilling performance and ensure adherence to drilling program.
• Ensure drilling programs comply with HSE regulations, industry standards, and well control guidelines (IWCF/IADC).

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 18+ yearsof experience in drilling, completions, or well engineering.
• Valid IWCF/IADC Well Control Certification (supervisor level preferred).
• Strong knowledge of well control, drilling fluids, directional drilling, casing design, and rig operations.
• Proficiency with drilling software (Landmark, WellPlan, Compass, StressCheck, etc.).
• Experience with bothonshore and offshorewells is an advantage.
