Job Position: Editorial Team Lead

Job Description


  • Are you an individual with a strong background in editorial and journalism who is looking for a part-time role with the opportunity to help build and shape a publication? Aura Magazine is in search of a part-time Editorial Team Lead to join our growing team and contribute to our creative journey.
  • In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing our content strategy and leading a team of talented writers, editors, and contributors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Editorial Leadership: Lead and manage the editorial team in a part-time capacity, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Content Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of the content strategy for Aura Magazine.
  • Content Calendar: Assist in managing the editorial calendar, ensuring that content is relevant and timely.
  • Audience Engagement: Monitor audience feedback and reader preferences to refine and improve content.
  • Content Creation: Create high-quality, engaging, and well-researched articles and features for the publication.
  • Editing: Review and edit content for clarity, grammar, style, and accuracy, ensuring alignment with our editorial guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the creative and design teams to ensure content is presented effectively and in line with our vision.
  • Recruitment and Training: Contribute to recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in an editorial role, with a passion for lifestyle and culture topics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing platforms.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for grammar, style, and storytelling.
  • Adept at working within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to bring creative and innovative thinking to the team.
