eHealth Africa designs and implements data-driven solutions and technologies to improve health systems for and with local communities. eHA’s technology works in low connectivity settings and uses data to drive decision-making by local governments and partner agencies to get optimum results.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Intern, Business Development

Job Location: Abuja
Duration: 6 Months

Purpose of the Internship

• The purpose of this internship program is to promote employ ability through providing an opportunity for work experience to recent graduates, and university students in career transition.
• It is also an avenue to help develop leadership competencies and promote the participation of women in decision-making roles in key development spaces.

Description of Tasks
The intern will initiate /assist/report/monitor and develop the following initiatives, and the planning of regular meetings, as well as facilitate knowledge exchange. S/he will be able to reconcile theoretical experiences with practicable processes with keen specifics to the following: The intern will be expected to:

• Support with lead generation and forecasting of RFPs/RFAs through desk research utilizing available internal tools and processes.
• Support with facilitating and coordinating bid proposals meetings (Review calls, design calls, and daily standup check-in calls) from bid identification to submission.
• Supports in promoting collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence and compliance with bid development, tools, processes, procedures, and systems.
• Assists in the development of proposal templates in line with donor/funding agencies' requirements.
• Support in refining standard proposal contents to serve as boilerplates that can be used for multiple submissions.
• Support with desk research and presentation drafting for targeted Exec & Programs external stakeholder engagements.
• Lead in the accurate and timely update of NBD’s contact database with details from strategic and consortium engagements.
• Support with tracking and documentation of proposal LOE analysis for active submissions.
• Support NBD regular (monthly and quarterly) analysis and reporting.
• Perform any other tasks assigned.

Standard Minimum Qualifications

• Only qualified female candidates are eligible to apply.
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in the relevant field
• First Degree or equivalent in the relevant field of studies.
• Additional consideration will be given to any professional experience relevant to the function you’re applying for.
• NYSC Certificate of completion/Exemption/Exclusion is compulsory.

Skills to be developed

• The intern will develop a strong knowledge of public health, project and program management, digital health, vaccine-preventable diseases etc.
• The intern will gain exposure to real-world project and program management processes and concerns
• The intern will gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies
• The intern will develop better report-writing skills in the communication context to both technical and non-technical audiences.
