Job Position: Software Engineer (Frontend)

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are looking for Software Engineers to join the Technology team to build the next-generation applications to solving complex problems and work with a world-class engineering and product team to deliver innovative products for our users.

Responsibilities
What a typical week may look like at Youverify:

• Design and implement new features and enhancements using Vue.js
• Fix bugs assigned during the sprint planning process
• Design, innovate and solve complex problems inherent in operating a high scale classifieds platform
• Play a key role in reviewing and approving the work of your peers as part of the software development process
• Interact with product owners, partners and business stakeholders to understand and develop requirements
• Debugging and Improvement of existing systems
• Building modular and reusable components and libraries.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience working with Vue.js
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related field
• Comfortable working within agile methodologies and experienced in task estimation and time management
• Intermediate understanding of unit and integration testing, and testing frameworks/libraries — Mocha, Jest etc
• Highly proficient with the JavaScript language and its modern ES6+ syntax and features
• Strong preference for test-driven-development (TDD) and understands its importance
• Highly proficient with Vue.js framework and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM
• Comfort and familiarity with code editor and formatting tools
• Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3, including Sass
• Proficiency with modern development tools, like Babel, Webpack, and Git
• Strong ability to problem-solve, debug, and understand pertinent performance metrics
• Familiarity with containerization infrastructure (Docker

Job Position: Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

• We are looking for Software Engineers to join the Technology team to build the next-generation applications to solving complex problems and work with a world-class engineering and product team to deliver innovative products for our users.

Responsibilities
What a typical week may look like at Youverify:

• Designing, developing and executing automated tests
• Identify and report issues found, then verify that issues are resolved
• Performing regression testing
• Designing and creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Utilizing required third party issue tracking systems, as required, to develop acceptance requirements, manage tests and issues, and report on progress and risks
• Using third party-tooling to build test cases ex: Selenium, analyse performance metrics, simulate load/stress on environments, and progress code
• Analysing specifications, business use cases, and critical metrics to understand system/user/revenue impact, devise criticality of issues, and suggest mitigation solutions
• Reviewing and analysing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback
• Partnering and collaborating with cross-functional team members, including Product Management, Engineering, and Design, to estimate work, contribute to delivery, and maintain team standards and expectations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or Software Test Engineering
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related field
• Hands-on automation design and scripting experience
• API testing, both manual and automation using Postman
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Knowledge of J-meter/Apache Benchmark tool for both stress and load testing
• Knowledge of security testing tools for vulnerability scanning, as well as risk management
• Experience in mobile test automation framework for both native, hybrid and mobile web applications

• Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
• Setting up tools and required infrastructure
• Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
• Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs
• Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
• Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
• Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
• Incidence management and root cause analysis
• Coordination and communication within the team and with customers
• Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
• Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs
• Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience deploying engineering applications for a large corporation
• Professional work experience in team building and project organization
• Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
• Excellent understanding of Ruby, Python, Perl, and Java
• Configuration and managing databases such as Mongo, MySql, Cassandra etc
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform etc
• Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services, securing servers and various types of testing
• Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles

• Design and implement new features and enhancements using NodeJS
• Fix bugs assigned during the sprint planning process
• Design, innovate and solve complex problems inherent in operating a high scale classifieds platform
• Play a key role in reviewing and approving the work of your peers as part of the software development process
• Interact with product owners, partners and business stakeholders to understand and develop requirements
• Debugging and Improvement of existing systems
• Expand our micro-services architecture
• Management of all 3rd party tool relationships and integrations from a technical aspect. i.e. SMS providers, Email, APIs, Finance tools, Marketing tools, Business tools, AWS etc.

Requirements

• 4+ years’ experience working with NodeJS
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related field
• Comfort working within agile methodologies and experienced in estimation and time management
