AIDS Prevention Initiative in Nigeria (APIN) is a leading Nigerian organization in the provision of HIV and AIDS prevention, treatment and care services. APIN's operating experience in Nigeria dates back to 2000, when the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) initiated HIV/AIDS research and prevention initiatives in Nigeria, under funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. APIN has demonstrated robust programs in evidence-based HIV/AIDS prevention with more than 30 collaborating governmental and non-governmental partners. APIN supports three broad health-related areas: service delivery (programs); training; monitoring, evaluation, and research.

APIN is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Associate

Location: Abuja

Qualifications and Experience
Candidate must possess a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, with a minimum of 3 years cognate experience in a donor funded program.

Technical and Behavioural Competencies
The ideal job holder is expected tpossess the following competencies:

• Ability to use own initiative
• Ability to use Quickbooks Accounting software
• Mastery of rudiments of accounting
• Eyes for details. 
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Computer literacy/skills in usage of personal productivity tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet browsing, emailing, etc.)

Responsibilities
The position holder will be solely responsible for overseeing and reviewing the financial activities of NGOs and CBOs as partners of APIN, for the management of petty cash and some banking activities as the need arises.

• Collate and review financial reports from program partners (CBOs and FBOs)
• Post financial reports to QuickBooks
• Prepare reimbursement schedules to partners
• Manage the office petty cash
• Carry out reconciliation of site advances account
