Job Position: Finance & Reconciliation Officer

Job Summary

• The Finance & Reconciliation Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling transactions, managing inventory records, and ensuring proper data entry across all finance and production-related activities.
• This role is critical in supporting cost control, stock accountability, and financial integrity within the biscuit manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reconciliation:

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of cash, bank, sales, and supplier accounts
• Reconcile production costs, raw material usage, and finished goods against financial records
• Track expenses related to manufacturing, packaging, logistics, and utilities
• Prepare financial summaries and reports for management review
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and posted.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate records of raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress, and finished biscuits
• Monitor stock levels and flag variances, shortages, expiries, or overstock situations
• Reconcile physical stock counts with inventory records and investigate discrepancies
• Support periodic stock takes and audits at the factory and warehouse
• Track production output against inventory consumption.

Data Entry & Record Keeping:

• Enter financial, inventory, and production data accurately into accounting or ERP systems
• Maintain up-to-date ledgers, inventory sheets, and cost tracking records
• Ensure proper filing of invoices, delivery notes, stock cards, and production records
• Update supplier, customer, and product pricing data as required.

Compliance & Internal Controls:

• Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations
• Assist in improving financial and inventory control processes.

Collaboration & Support:

• Work closely with production, procurement, customer service, and marketing teams to ensure data accuracy
• Provide operational finance support to the factory and production operations
• Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.

Qualifications & Requirements

• HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1 – 2 years of experience in finance, reconciliation, or inventory management (manufacturing experience is an advantage)
• Strong understanding of inventory control and cost accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information
• Must reside in Ajah axis, Lagos.
