Uraga Real Estate is the real estate business unit of the Honeywell Group. The Company invests and develops in all sectors of the real estate market in Nigeria and other select West African countries, to include Residential, Retail, Offices, Industrial/ distribution warehouses, other commercial properties and the hospitality sector.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Internal Audit Officer

Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Summary


  • Assist in providing assurance to the Management of Uraga real estate Limited on the effectiveness and efficiency of Risk Management and Internal Control process over operations,
  • Report Audit findings to the Audit lead and follow up on Audit Recommendation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned Operational Audit and Compliance using Audit program.
  • Draft Audit report and send to the Team lead for review.
  • Liaise with co-workers to ensure their understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist the Team Lead to facilitate the development and implementation of suitable company’s standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Assist in ensuring that all proceeds are properly accounted for, correctly posted and adequate records maintained across UREL operating companies.
  • Participate in the inventory count exercise and ensure that the rules guiding the inventory count are complied with.
  • Assist in fixed assets verification of both Uraga and Upbeat Centre.

Minimum Qualifications

  • HND / B.Sc. Degree in Economic, Accounting, Business Administration, and any other related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Internal Audit/Audit firm.

Competency and Skills Requirements:

  • A strong willingness to learn and pay attention to details.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, proficient in Word and PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Good attention to details, planning skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
