9mobile is a Nigerian private limited liability company. EMTS acquired a Unified Access Service License from the Nigerian Communications Commission in 2007. The License enables EMTS provide Fixed Telephony (wired or wireless), Digital Mobile Services, International Gateway Services and National/Regional Long Distance Services in addition to spectrum assignments in the 900 and 1800 MHz bands.

We are recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions below:

1.) Specialist, Employee Relations & Engagement

Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary


  • Provide operational and advisory support on all employee relations, engagement, and welfare matters in line with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • The role coordinates onboarding and exit processes, manages welfare and engagement programs, supports disciplinary and grievance processes, and acts as the primary liaison for HMO matters.
  • This position will work closely with the Manager, HR Operations & Compliance to ensure smooth HR service delivery, accurate documentation, and effective communication to employees and stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Compliance Support:

  • Assist in the administration of disciplinary and grievance processes, including documentation, scheduling, and communication of outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records for all ER cases and compliance-related matters.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and relevant labour laws.
  • Support investigations by gathering facts, coordinating interviews, and preparing case summaries for review.

Onboarding & Exit Management:

  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires by liaising with Resourcing & Partnering, IT, and business areas to ensure seamless integration into the organization.
  • Ensure complete documentation for new hires, including personnel files, ID cards, complimentary cards, work tools, and relevant forms.
  • Conduct exit interviews, document insights, and prepare reports with recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee the clearance and documentation process for exiting employees.

Employee Welfare & Engagement:

  • Coordinate staff welfare and engagement initiatives (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Children’s Day, health talks, recognition activities).
  • Ensure all employees are registered with the company’s HMO and assist in resolving related issues promptly.
  • Participate in evaluating and selecting healthcare providers for EMTS.
  • Compile and process healthcare provider invoices and claims.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and databases of healthcare providers and welfare benefits.

Operational & Administrative Support:

  • Liaise with Administration and Facilities to provide office space, furniture, accommodation, vehicles, and other facilities to staff.
  • File monthly expatriate returns and support expatriate welfare matters.
  • Prepare periodic reports and dashboards for review by the Manager, HR Operations & Compliance.
  • Respond promptly to employee requests, queries, and complaints to maintain a positive relationship with staff.
  • Assist in internal HR communications to employees regarding policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager, HR Operations & Compliance.

Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • First Degree from a recognized university.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in human resources, with at least one year in employee relations, engagement, or HR operations.

Required capabilities:

2.) Manager, Pricing

Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • Analyse, report and manage product pricing and tariffs at EMTS-9mobile

Roles and Responsibilities
Tactical:

  • Develop pricing models for promotions/propositions to determine expected subscribers, revenue, MoU, etc.
  • Interface with Billing, Technical and Marketing teams for implementation and changes on price and tariff plans
  • Monitor competitor and industry market intelligence with regards to pricing and tariffs
  • Analyse competitor tariffs to determine possible 9mobile response
  • Gather data to forecast pricing movements and monitor seasonal pricing fluctuations
  • Determine appropriate discounts and break-even points without diluting revenue in new propositions/ promotions
  • Ensure that products pricing conforms with 9mobile’s margin and profitability requirements
  • Implement changes to pricing models as and when necessary

Operational:

  • Produce daily, weekly, ad hoc and monthly market-update reports on key drivers and variance analyses of EMTS-9mobile and competition for growth strategies and planning
  • Forecast and track marketing and sales trends
  • Produce monthly reporting on KPIs (ARPU, Subs, Revenue, Market Share, etc)
  • Track implementation of identified business opportunities based on agreed parameters and provide insight to business
  • Trend impact on network of competition product launch and availability
  • Develop and document business rules/ requirements for EMTS-9mobile business reporting
  • Develop business case for promotions and propositions
  • Produce required quantitative and qualitative analyses for Commercial decision-making
  • Evaluate commercial business objectives/ capabilities and develop them into comprehensive plans for implementation, along with finding new opportunities for the company
  • Develop pricing process, policy and strategy
  • Ensure timely submission of correct and complete regulatory reports
  • Ensure that tariff plan approvals are up to date, always
  • Ensure that tariffs are correctly updated on all 9mobile customer interfaces e.g., Website & App.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Sciences, Economics/ Statistics, and Business Management
  • Six (6) to eight (8) years of cognate experience with 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Mandatory proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
  • Demonstrable ability to generate business insights
  • Proven ability to lead and influence team-members
  • Skilled in communication, problem-solving, planning, organizing, networking and relationship-building
  • Comfortable engaging with senior/executive management.

3.) Manager, Commercial Planning

Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary 

  • Oversees the commercial budget management and business analysis, examine commercial budget (revenue and opex) estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
  • Analyze and control commercial budget in terms of spend and revenue for various commercial channels as well as preparation of the commercial Business Plan.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Forecasting, Budgeting and budgetary Control on Subscriber count, revenue, handsets and cost of sales for the entire Commercial group
  • Preparation of the Business plan and analyzing of all KPIs
  • Produce Monthly/Quarterly/Half-yearly reforecast of the business plan KPIs based on actual performance against targets
  • Product income comparison with set standards on predetermined ARPU’s, determining reasons for variance with a view of addressing reasons for monthly disparities.
  • Preparation of Departmental Budget on income and recurrent expenditure for various commercial channels.
  • Liaise with the finance team to ensure that Budget set standards is met and budgetary standards on cost are within standards prescribed by Finance.
  • Regulate and instill strict financial discipline and control within the commercial teams.
  • Generate reports on financial performance for commercial teams on a regional basis.
  • Prepare product margin analysis, business cases and activity-based costing.
  • Perform any duties as assigned by the VP, Product Marketing & Commercial Strategy

Education and Experience

  • First Degree or equivalent in a numerate discipline.
  • Six (6) to eight (8) years of work experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
  • Postgraduate/professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Professional experience in commercial, finance control operations and cost management.
  • Prior work experience in Telecom Industry will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in cross functional collaboration and management
  • Experience in making presentations to senior management
  • Minimum of intermediate Microsoft Office 365 user (advanced user of Microsoft Excel).
