1.) Senior Structural Design Engineer

Job Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Job Purpose / Objective


  • To be part of the Civil/Structural discipline group within the organization, t provide leadership, technical assurance for the design, inspection, maintenance, and modification of civil structures, ensuring the reliability and availability of these structures at optimal whole lifecycle costs in line with company objectives as per business plan.

Basic functions & Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage civil and structural tasks/projects from start to finish, by providing technical guidance regarding civil infrastructure design, construction, modifications and structural repairs and pro-actively coordinate with maintenance and project engineers to ensure that all civil related matters are addressed and in compliance to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Support the implementation of the civil Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) methodology for civil infrastructure assets (concrete and steel) to ensure effectiveness and optimization of assigned maintenance strategies
  • .Facilitate the review of inspection findings for civil structures in the LNG plant and ensure risk view is available as input to the Civil Integrity Status Report (CISR)
  • Assess customer’s requirements, site feasibility, and oversee review of final designs through inputs into the structural designs to ensure conformity to company’s design criteria, specifications, constructability and maintainability.
  • Assure all engineered scaffold by ensuring that these are designed and installed according to applicable company procedures, industry standards and codes.
  • Performing structural analysis and design for asset integrity assessment and life extension and apply principles of structural reliability to properly define the appropriate design rules for civil infrastructure
  • Undertake frontend engineering studies as may be required to identify and develop performance improvement changes or scope of work for civil asset rejuvenation and ensure that all proposed modifications allow safe operation of facilities and maintain technical integrity.
  • Provide assurance support with documented QA/QC records/documents for civil related activities on shutdowns/Turnarounds and routine maintenance execution to conform to relevant standards and achieve high integrity.
  • Conducts execution of Inspection PMRs in conformance with the Inspection and Integrity assurance plans.
  • Possess good understanding of metocean conditions and how they apply to design of topside structures.
  • Records and updates accurate and detailed condition history for assigned equipment inspections in the CMMS (w-IMS & SAP)
  • Identify and issue important T.R.A.I.N to manage civil infrastructures to mitigate threats and optimize opportunities 

Job requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./B.Eng./B. Tech. or Equivalent) in civil/structural engineering Chartered status with NICE or NIStructE will be added advantage.

Experience:

  • 10 years of post-graduation experience in civil engineering practice, five years of which should be in structural engineering consulting preferably associated with the oil and gas industry.

2.) Fabric Assurance Engineer 

Job Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Job Purpose / Objective

  • To provide technical support and assurance on civil plant and infrastructure, maintenance and projects, ensuring that fabric designs, specifications and QA/QC programs comply with applicable industry standards for integrity and fitness of purpose, and that existing facilities are inspected and maintained to statutory industry standards, to realize and sustain value for Company.

Basic functions & Principal Responsibilities:

  •  Assists in the identification and development of fabric scope of work for campaigns, turnarounds/shutdowns, and routine activities as directed by the Senior Engineer. 
  • Provide QA support for fabric-related activities on shutdowns/turnarounds & routine maintenance execution to conform to relevant standards and achieve high integrity.
  • Drive fabric maintenance lessons learnt input in the database and fabric condition and repair history in WIMS and CMMS for all critical tags highlighting trends to aid modification & planning as part of fabric systems improvement.4.Develop and update procedures and work instructions relevant to fabric and other civil.
  • Maintains the QA/QC records/documents on projects, SDs & routine maintenance execution.
  • Support provision of technical assurance by reviewing comments and steer on concept selections, detailed engineering designs and post design challenge resolutions for maintenance/campaigns/Turnarounds/projects.
  • Deliver high levels of quality and customer support through reviews and timely response to RFI, RFQ, ERMT as per the SLA7.Proactively seeks out, intervenes and reports HSSE issues within and beyond area of influence 
  • Contribute to Management of Change to fabric systems via design checks to affirm proposed modifications are technically feasible and appropriately detailed, ensuring additional execution/project deliverables like as-built documentation, are updated within approved processes for asset integrity, safety, and traceability. 
  • Facilitates RCM studies to determine the best applicable Inspection & Maintenance strategy for civil assets and share outcome
  • Undertake or co-ordinate failure investigations, as assigned, into coating failure and corrosion issues in accordance with prescribed or approved failure investigation procedures.
  • Attend TAR meetings, AAR meetings, Asset Integrity meetings and technical reviews as required and maintain appropriate levels of contact with asset teams and third parties to ensure an effective fabric integrity service.

Job requirements
Education:

  • B.Sc./B.Eng. degree in engineering (preferably in civil engineering)NSE/ COREN registration will be added advantage

Experience:

  • 10 years of post-graduation experience in fabric systems application & maintenance

3.) Spares and Materials Coordinator

Job Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Job role objective

  • Support spares identification, specification and standardization, inventory management, contract and procurement interface management and integration, logistics coordination, equipment inventory and maintenance management, to ensure availability for effective and efficient maintenance of plant civil infrastructure assets.

Main Duties

  • Identify spares for equipment and materials to support civil maintenance operations and implement a process to ensure availability.
  • Collect/maintain spares master data file including full buying description and photographs and any other relevant technical/safety documentation, and load into the purchasing system to ensure standardization and facilitate procurement
  • Establish min/max levels for all spares and materials, and track inventory levels and perform regular audits to prevent stock-out and overstocking.
  • Provide technical support for the procurement process, including timely resolution of vendor queries, and management of relationship with the contract and procurement specialists to support own processes
  • Identify and manage disposal of obsolete, surplus, moribund, or damaged (quarantine)items in the inventory, and identify replacement stock where applicable, to ensure availability of fit-for-purpose spares and materials
  • Collaborate with discipline and construction engineers for resolution of specification issues to prevent supply of off-spec items to stock and reduce the risk of stock-outs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions related to spares issuance from the stores and procurement of new items to ensure visibility and traceability.
  • Liaise with the planners/schedulers to ensure optimal deployment and utilization of the unit's equipment.
  • Develop and implement stock review program to identify duplicates and determine wrongly grouped items to achieve cost avoidance/savings.
  • Manage equipment inventory, and ensure availability to perform work
  • Interface with equipment maintenance team for efficient and effective maintenance of all PMI equipment.
  • Ensure all PMI equipment is managed, maintained and tracked within the plan.

Job Requirements
Education:      

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical).

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the oil and gas or manufacturing industry.
