We provide our users with a multi-currency account that allows them to hold, send, and receive money from Africa in any currency for their business and personal banking needs. We are a fast-paced startup with entities in the UK, USA, Canada and Nigeria and you would be required to familiarize yourself with necessary statutory and regulatory requirements in these locations.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Business Development Manager - Anglophone Africa

Role Overview

  • We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager - Anglophone Africa to build and scale strategic partnerships across key markets.
  • This role will focus on financial institutions, regulators, aggregators, and mobile money operators, playing a critical role in expanding corridors, improving unit economics, and ensuring regulatory alignment.
  • You will work closely with Treasury, Compliance, Product, and Growth teams to enable sustainable expansion.

Key Responsibilities
Partnerships & Market Expansion:

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, aggregators, and mobile money operators
  • Identify and evaluate new partners to support corridor launches and volume growth
  • Own partner onboarding from initial discussions through go-live

Commercial Negotiation:

  • Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, FX margins, settlement terms, SLAs, and volumes
  • Renegotiate existing contracts to improve fees, limits, liquidity, and reliability
  • Structure win-win partnerships aligned with LemFi’s growth objectives

Regulatory & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with regulators and regulatory bodies in collaboration with Compliance and Legal teams
  • Support licensing discussions, regulatory submissions, and partner due diligence
  • Act as a trusted external representative of LemFi in strategic regulatory conversations

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Treasury on funding models, liquidity planning, and settlement cycles
  • Partner with Product & Engineering teams during integrations and technical rollouts
  • Align with Growth and Operations to ensure partnerships support commercial goals

Performance & Optimization:

  • Monitor partner performance (success rates, downtime, settlement delays)
  • Identify risks and proactively manage escalation and resolution
  • Continuously optimize partner mix for reliability, cost efficiency, and scalability

What We’re Looking For
Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or Commercial roles
  • Fluent French Speaker
  • Strong background in fintech, payments, remittances, mobile money, or banking
  • Proven experience negotiating with aggregators, MNOs, or financial institutions
  • Exposure to regulatory environments across multiple markets is a strong plus

Skills:

  • Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of cross-border payments, FX, and settlement flows

2.) Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

The Role

  • We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our cross-border payment solutions. You will work closely with development teams to test both our mobile applications (iOS/Android) and backend APIs through a mix of manual and automated testing.
  • This is a hands-on role with significant technical breadth. You will improve automated coverage, validate new features, and help maintain confidence in releases across a complex financial ecosystem with deep integrations and high demands for performance and accuracy.

Responsibilities
How You’ll Contribute:

  • Develop Automated Tests: Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for backend APIs, mobile apps, and integrations.
  • Build Maintainable Frameworks: Create modular test components within our Java/Cucumber/Rest Assured/Appium/Guice stack.
  • Partner with Engineering: Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure clear acceptance criteria and testability.
  • Validate Complex Integrations: Work with mock services, partner APIs, and distributed systems to verify behaviour and data flows.
  • Improve Pipelines: Participate in code reviews, CI/CD enhancements, and continuous test execution.
  • Use AI Tools: Leverage GPT/Gemini APIs for automation workflows, data generation, and test analysis.
  • Evolve QA Practices: Contribute ideas to elevate QA infrastructure and strengthen automation as an engineering discipline.

  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, backend testing, and mobile testing (Appium experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of OOP, dependency injection (e.g., Guice or Spring), and test design patterns.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and approach testing with an engineering mindset.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

  • You will be a full-stack engineer with main focus on Frontend working on LemFi’s operational "brain", designing the internal software that automates our most critical financial processes.
  • Your mission is to transform complex, high-volume back-office tasks like payments operations, fraud investigations, and regulatory reporting into streamlined, front-end functionality.
  • You won’t just be building tools; you’ll create efficient internal interfaces that empower our operations teams to move faster and with greater precision.
  • By embedding AI and agentic automation into every workflow, you’ll ensure that managing global money movement is as intelligent and effortless as the user experience it supports.

Responsibilities
How You'll Contribute:

  • Build & Ship: Design and deliver high-quality, scalable web features using Vue.js, with a strong focus on efficiency, security, and maintainability.
  • Own the Experience: Take end-to-end responsibility for features from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support.
  • BFF Development: Implement and maintain backend-for-frontend logic in TypeScript, shaping APIs and data models that serve the needs of the web client efficiently and securely.
