We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Program Director

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities
Programme Planning, Management and Implementation:
Tasks:


  • Provide leadership in the development of strategic plans and budgets for all programs in the country.
  • Provide leadership to the Programme Team towards achieving the objectives of the Country Strategy of the organization.
  • Review and ensure alignment of program priorities, strategies and plans to the firm and the broader the firm International strategies, plans and campaigns.
  • Ensure the firm’s programme activities are grounded, strongly inter linked, and consolidated at all levels
  • Ensure quality implementation of all projects of the company
  • Ensure learning are documented by the programme team in the most effective way demonstrating value for money.

Fund Raising & Donor Relationship Management:
Tasks:

  • Support the management, in developing and managing relationships within country donors.
  • Lead on the development of programme ideas into quality grant proposals through a community based, participatory approach.
  • Collaborate with the manageme team members and business development units to respond to potential funding opportunities in the country.

Program Reviews, Monitoring, Evaluation, Program Learning and Reporting:
Tasks:

  • Ensure close monitoring of the program works in the field to ensure alignment and contribution to organization strategy, monitor flow of information and systemic documentation of quantitative and qualitative achievements in the field and lessons learned thereof
  • Ensure quality and timely submission of quarterly and annual or required Programme and Project Performance Reports as per desired standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance of approved Programme and Project plans.
  • Promote evidence-based learning and the agenda of advancing alternatives
  • Represent the organization / Unit in various program-related knowledge sharing and learning forums, document and share feedback with the team
  • Track trends in contemporary development programming and program management practices, document and provide advice/ recommendations on key developments

Partnerships and Networking:
Tasks:

  • Support Program officers and managers to strengthen networks in the company’s collaboration areas.
  • Ensure effective information flow and communication with other stakeholders including partners and international teams
  • Initiate and nurture networks and alliances with academia, and research institutions
  • Ensure effective partnerships at all levels as per standard procedures and guidelines of the organization.
  • Provide support to the networks for building the capacity of the organizations.
  • Support the Programme officers and managers in strengthening our relationship with the strategic networks and alliances
  • Represent the company and participate in network and alliance meetings, events and forums at national and international levels
  • Coordinate and support review of the company’s partnerships.
  • Ensure follow-up of partners after reviews and reflections.

Financial Management:
Tasks:

  • Develop, monitor, review and update the Programme department activity, work plan to ensure that it attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible
  • Review and approve program concepts, and partner financial requests as per organizational process and procedures.
  • Manage the expenditure and disbursement of resources allocated to the program department
  • Review programme expenditures from the program team line staff to ensure conformity to Financial Policies and Procedures of the organization
  • Monitor and advice on programme and project spending and variance report as per organizational process and procedures.

Human Resource Management:
Tasks:

  • Lead and manage the program team to achieve its mandated targets of the organization
  • Ensure an empowering work environment and team building in compliance to the company’s values, principles and attitude
  • Participate in the review of staff job descriptions and setting of performance standards
  • Involves in the recruitment of staff under the supervision of HR.
  • Ensure an enabling environment for staff performance, recognition and reward of the program team to encourage staff productivity, innovation and performance (e.g. facilities, equipment, duty facilitation, team building etc.)
  • Assigns performance objectives to supervised staff, conducts comprehensive performance appraisal of supervised staff and provides/obtains feedback when necessary
  • Ensure that performance records of staff under supervision are submitted to HR on time
  • Provides induction, training, coaching, mentoring and advice to supervised staff to ensure that they understand and carry out their responsibilities effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Having a Masters' Degree is an added advantage)
  • 7+ years of experience in program management preferably with an NGO
  • Minimum of Second Class (Upper) Division
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, Google Docs, and Project Management tools.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Strong editorial and research skills.

2.) Communication Strategist / Social Media Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking to employ a Communications Specialist with exceptional public speaking and writing skills, a strategic thinker with a meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • The candidate must have a keen interest in driving strategic messages to key internal and external role-players.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication strategies for each thematic area of the organizations work that includes media outreach and social media content creation.
  • Research and write press releases, and content for the company website, infographics, blogs, newsletters and Social Media platforms.
  • Liaison with program team to coordinate activities, on-line content, and materials across the business unit.
  • Manage the organizations digital presence. Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
  • Arrange and coordinate press conferences, and plan events.
  • Facilitate the resolution of disputes with external role-players.
  • Adhere to the company’s style guide, ensuring that we produce high-quality and error-free copy.
  • Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives.
  • Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
  • Work across the organization with the management team, programs team and admin team to identify media moments, develop and implement relevant materials and media outreach
  • Generate innovative ways to gain quality media coverage across all channels.
  • Develop and maintain close working relations with media outlets and identify opportunities for the organization's senior management for media placement;
  • Organize, provide support and arrange broadcast and print media interviews for Senior Management
  • Propose, edit, draft and pitch op-eds, letters to the editor, and other written, digital, and broadcast commentary.
  • Develop multi-media content for the organization showcasing the organization’s success stories and its people.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism,  Computer Science or a related field.
  • Second class upper division minimum. 3 - 5 years relevant experience in a communications role. Communications strategy development is a requirement.
  • Knowledge of Graphics, use of Adobe, Corel draw or Photoshop software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
  • Ability to multitask and key into Organization’s goals
  • Attention to Details and Social/ Emotional Intelligence.
  • Excellent Social Media and IT skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, good time management, organizational skills.
  • Please note that proven graphic and IT experience is a major advantage of applicants to this role.

3.) Project Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to determine the specifications of the project
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  • Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
  • Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports

Requirements and Skills

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree (Second class Upper division) in Engineering, Building Science or a relevant field with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • A team player with leadership abilities.
