We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Administrative and Logistics Officer


Job Location: Akwa Ibom
Project: ICHSSA Lot 1
Department: Administration
Reports to: State Program Manager
Secondary Reporting Line: Administrative Manager

About ICHSSA

  • The Integrated Child Health and Social Service Award ICHSSA 1 is a five-year agreement by USAID which commenced on December 19, 2019. ICHSSA 1 is implemented by Center for Clinical Care and Research Nigeria.
  • The project will ensure that Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) are cared for, and protected by their households, communities, and local and state government to reduce their vulnerability to HIV.

The project expected results is highlighted as follows:

  • Households have increased access to basic services and care for OVC
  • Communities ensure that OVC secure their rights
  • Local and State Government deliver basic services, detect and respond to child rights violations
  • Prioritized targeted services for specific OVC subpopulations delivered

Job Summary

  • The administration/logistics officer will ensure a smooth day-to-day office management including general office cleanliness, arrangement and organization will assist the administrative manager in keeping office records.Provide support internally for all staff and act as initial point of contact for all office administrative inquiries.
  • S/he will assist when needed in the preparation of car/travel routes.
  • S/He will be responsible for all basic trouble shooting and logging of all office request, attend to this request and obtain requisite approvals for procurement where necessary and liaise with procurement unit for completion of process.
  • S/He will ensure a safe and efficient operation of the vehicle fleet. Ensure updates and publishing of drivers’ monthly schedules and trip plans throughout the year. Maintain adequate vehicle logs to determine mileage, vehicle history and maintenance requirements of each vehicle.
  • The administration officer willalso manage the store, receive anddocument all procured items and maintain distribution and utilization records.

Specific Job Responsibilities

  • The Logistics Officer will be responsible for the set up and regular running of the operational base.
  • H/She manages the operational teams (logistics, warehousing, office assistantsand drivers).
  • He liaises with the third-party facility managers to ensure adequate, security, cleaning and maintenance of the office infrastructures.
  • Coordinate property movement data base
  • Coordinate maintenance of the fleet, evaluates vehicle log books and ensures the proper use of CCCRN equipment
  • He coordinates administrative, and program support activities at the operational base and ensure proper set up / rehabilitation / running of office premises.
  • Ensures that CCCRN Log procedures and respective donor regulations applicable to projects is adhered to.
  • Ensures the proper functioning of supply chain including office consumables, manage utility usage, planning and forecast for restocking and communicate office needs to procurement officer after requisite approvals are obtained,receives purchased goods and services and ensures their transportation and adequate storage. Also take delivery of posted goods and packages.
  • Assesses and ensures the functioning of the internet access and communication facilities and log complaints to the IT Support unitwhere necessary.
  • Be responsible for training support, management and coordination of training needs, participants’ movements and reimbursements.

Qualification

  • HND / B.Sc in Business Administration or any related Social Science discipline.

2.) Communication and Infographic Officer

Job Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom
Job Type: Full time

Background

  • CCCRN implements projects through a team of 72 experienced health and allied professionals that include clinicians, laboratorians, community workers and health information specialists (see Annex 8 for the organizational organogram).
  • CCCRN has established footprints in 14 states of Nigeria with offices in Abuja and Benue, where it has implemented quality public health initiatives and contributed to the global knowledge of effective health solutions in Nigeria.
  • CCCRN is the recipient of the Integrated Child Health and Social Service Award (ICHSSA) to increase access to high-quality comprehensive services and strengthen the capacity of families and communities living in target communities to care for and protect the children in their care. The project is implemented in 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State and in 10 LGAs of Cross River State.

Major Responsibilities

  • The officer will be responsible for developing quality and visually appealing presentations, content management, communication materials for the ICHSSA 1 through graphic design and web optimization solutions.
  • Assess communications needs and priorities for ICHSSA 1, develop communications and outreach strategy based on CCCRN corporate communications strategy;
  • Constructive and timely advice to integrate advocacy and communication strategies into all aspects of ICHSSA 1 activities;
  • Propose and implement ICHSSA 1 outreach activities such as dialogues, roundtables, panel discussions, and joint events with project partners;
  • Develop and maintain contacts with USAID, government officials, NGOs, journalists and other key policy-makers and identify targets of opportunity and vehicles to communicate with these constituencies; and
  • Deliver high-quality photographs and videos, maps, charts, information graphics and branding to support project documentation.
  • Develop the visual design taking into consideration typography, iconography, layout and brand identity
  • Conceptualize and execute creative graphic design and layout for research, presentations, scorecards and communiques to Stakeholders
  • Design and maintain outreach list to remain in contact with key audiences
  • Develop infographics using supplied data to present core messages and organize complex information into visual representations for ICHSSA 1-supported state
  • Deliver creative infographics and technical solutions for print, electronic and animated presentations.
  • Perform other tasks assigned to him/her by ICHSSA 1 Project Management Team.

Skills, Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, IT, Computer Science or related discipline
  • 2-3+ years of experience in professional commercial design
  • Experience in copywriting and editing
  • Experience work in the health sector will be an added advantage
  • Must have a strategic understanding of marketing/communication/social media campaigns in order to recommend and incorporate visual communications. Adaptive design eye, attention to detail, creative thinking skills, and a strong sense of concept development.
  • Should possess knowledge of graphic design software and tools including Adobe Creative Cloud: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript, PowerPoint, Prezi, Web Content Management System (CMS) experience, audio editing, video editing, writing, web analytics, familiarity with designing for accessibility and usability
  • Ability to handle concurrent projects and multi-task.
  • A portfolio of past works is required.

Languages:

  • Excellent English language oral and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English required, with fluency in either of the local languages in Cross River and Akwa Ibom.

3.) Program Support Associate (HR and Procurement)

Job Summary

  • The Project Officer is to perform program specific administrative duties and provide office management as required.
  • Under the supervision of the PSS S/he will also be responsible for identifying and screening procurement suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions favorable to CCCRN, driving improved supplier service levels and minimizing risk.
  • S/He ensures that the items and services to build and maintain CCCRN are purchased from credible suppliers and are delivered according to agreed terms and conditions. An important aspect of this role is seeking maximum value for the company through time and cost agreements.

Job Specific Responsibilities

  • Leads the procurement function and oversees all aspects of purchasing, negotiations, strategy, tool and process implementation
  • Full compliance of procurement activities with CCCRN rules, regulations, policies and strategies; elaboration of the effective internal control, proper design and functioning of a client-oriented procurement management system
  • Provides leadership and direction to vendors. Manages and develops tools to deliver business partner satisfaction and achievement of overall CCCRN business and financial objectives
  • Negotiates favorable contractual terms and conditions for CCCRN with suppliers and also drive a cost saving and reduction strategy
  • Execution of strategic sourcing initiatives that delivers on cost reduction commitments through the identification of new suppliers including periodic market checks to ensure competitiveness
  • Establishment and implementation of proper monitoring system and control of procurement processes including organization of Request for Quotes, receipt and evaluation of quotations, bids or proposals, negotiation of certain conditions of contracts in full compliance with CCCRN rules and regulations
  • Ensure adequate documentation and record keeping of all procurement transactions filed and stored in an easy traceable manner.
  • Management of procurement contracts and implementation of the internal control system which ensures that Purchase Orders (PO) are duly prepared and dispatched. Timely corrective actions on POs with budget checks errors and other problems
  • Develops standardized tools, practices and procedures shortening the quotation, bidding and decision making and evaluation time
  • Leads the development and compilation of a performance driven annual CCCRN approved vendor list
  • Implements and maintains procurement policies and lead the regular review process to ensure relevance and conformance with best practices.
  • Present reviewed policies for supervisor and board approvals
  • Periodically Interfaces with Program area leads to plan and prioritize purchasing activities.

  • Good knowledge of computer applications and electronic procurement and contracting mechanisms or processes.
  • Ability to relocate at short notice
