We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Lawyer (NYSC)
Job Location: Abuja

Job Description

• This is a one year internship program that provides an opportunity for hands on training, mentoring and coaching in legal practice for NYSC corp members during their service year.
• Successful NYSC corp members will not only benefit from learning on the job but will have the opportunity of been retained as full staff after the NYSC service year based on performance and management discretion.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Dealing with correspondence, collating information and writing reports.
• Assist in drafting briefs and other legal documents.
• Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law.
• Review contracts to ensure that they meet the firm’s standard terms and conditions.
• Attend a variety of court hearings.
• Conduct legal research.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum of 2:1 from both university and law school.
• Flair for dispute resolution and corporate commercial transactions.
• Desire and ability to learn quickly.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Excellent judgement.
• Research skills.
• Critical thinking.
• Computer savvy.
• Ready to practice.
• Must be currently serving in Abuja.
