Main Purpose


  • Lead the customer focused logistics & distribution operations to perform consistently and deliver high level of services with the highest level of quality and lowest possible costs in order to deliver business results and support the growth in WECA.
  • Continuously develop the capabilities, coach and mentor the team members to fulfill their potentials and drive performance.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic and Operational accountability for all logistics and distribution activities in WECA
  • Demonstrate leadership in Logistics & Distribution processes, policies and standards including demand planning, warehousing, transportation, customer service and import/export.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of end to end supply chain process, including systems and process interfaces with mills, procurement and S&OP.
  • As a member of the WECA leadership team, actively participate to the strategic decisions to meet the company goals, and make sure logistics and distribution activities are aligned to those strategic decisions.
  • Ensure safe and environmentally sound working conditions and practices within L&D.
  • Providing work direction and strategic leadership to the L&D team.
  • Actively coach the team, building their leadership skills, end to end supply chain knowledge, customer understanding and business acumen, drive performance management activities to achieve business results.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Lean Basics of waste, visual management, 5S, Simple Problem Solving and Standard Work and implement those through the L&D activities.
  • Engagement with the business, maintain close, co-operative relationships with key stakeholders and customers, including marketing, sales, finance, operations and legal.
  • Lead to identify cost saving opportunities through operational efficiency in the value chain to improve K-C’s level of profitability and make sure that the identified opportunities are brought into life, change management
  • Compliance to CFI’s in all L&D activities
  • Identify and work with stakeholders to solve, systemic and complex L&D related issues, product shortages and loading or carrier constraints.
  • Support the development and process improvement of L&D specific processes in related areas.
  • Understand and ensure appropriate application of WECA regulations, policies and procedures in the operations. Build relationships with Government offices where needed, work closely with legal and regulatory teams.
  • Develop KPI’s and strategies for L&D process, and lead efforts to make progress on all reporting and metric enhancement initiatives.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or equivalent (preferably in Supply Chain Management)
  • Team leader experience
  • Supply Chain Management field experience
