The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, emergency food security, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Position: Logistics Intern

Duration: 6 months
Commencement: March 2020
Percentage of full-time: 100

Duties and Responsibilities

• Adheres to and supports the implementation of NRC policies and procedures, handbooks and guidelines.
• Scanning and filing of Procurement documents and contracts
• Scanning and filing of tender documents
• Assist the procurements to get signatures/approvals on procurement documents
• Preparing Checklist
• Submission of procurement files/documents to Finance.
• Follow up with other units on the relevant process task.
• Typing of regret letter for tender processes
• Coordinate stock requests for the procurement unit.
• Any other task assigned by Line Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelors' Degree in Social Science or any relevant discipline
• Good university degree from a reputable university
• Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
• Fluency in English both written and verbal
• High-level competence in computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications)

We Can Offer

• Commencement: March 2020
• Duration: 6 months
• Salary/benefits: According to NRC’s general directions.
• Duty station: Maiduguri with frequent travels. Travel outside Maiduguri is dependent on changing security conditions, especially for certain roads in the area.
