Job Position: Logistics Officer
Job Location: Lagos

Job Description
- The Logistic Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods and materials throughout our organization.
- This role involves managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and optimizing supply chain processes to meet customer demands and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of materials and products.
- Conduct regular stock checks, manage stock rotation, and implement effective inventory control measures.
Vendor Management:
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and negotiate favorable terms and agreements.
- Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvements.
Order Processing:
- Process purchase orders, sales orders, and shipping documents accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure orders are fulfilled promptly.
Shipping and Distribution:
- Plan and coordinate the shipment of products to customers, distribution centers, and other locations.
- Ensure shipments comply with local and international regulations.
Cost Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for cost savings in logistics and supply chain operations.
- Optimize transportation routes and modes to reduce expenses.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that products and materials meet quality standards and specifications.
- Implement quality control procedures and resolve quality-related issues.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, shipments, and transactions.
- Prepare shipping and customs documentation as required.
Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on logistics and supply chain performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Logistic Officer or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with local and international shipping regulations is a plus.
