Job Position: Office Assistant
Job Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- The Office Assistant (Resident Officer) will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office and employee residence.
- She will oversee office purchases, ensure the workspace and accommodation are well maintained, and provide general administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Office Purchases & Supplies:
- Procure office essentials, groceries, and supplies for employees.
- Maintain inventory and track stock levels.
- Ensure timely restocking of office and accommodation necessities.
Facility & Accommodation Management:
- Oversee the cleanliness and general maintenance of office and living spaces.
- Coordinate with cleaners, security, and maintenance personnel.
- Report and follow up on facility issues (e.g., plumbing, electricity, etc.).
Administrative Support:
- Assist with minor clerical tasks such as filing, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Handle deliveries, courier services, and office errands.
- Support the HR / Admin team in organizing office-related activities.
Employee Welfare & Coordination:
- Ensure a comfortable and well-maintained living space for resident employees.
- Respond to staff needs regarding office amenities.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and service providers as needed.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of OND or equivalent in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in office administration, facility management, or related roles.
- Experience in purchasing and inventory management is a plus.
Key Competencies & Skills:
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring proper documentation and quality control.
- Proactive & Resourceful: Ability to anticipate needs and solve problems.
- Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with employees and vendors.
- Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and email communication.
Other Requirements:
- Must be willing to reside in the company-provided accommodation.
- Should be reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- Must have a strong sense of responsibility and be committed to maintaining a well-organized workspace..
