Job Title: ICT Instructor (IGCSE)
Location: Lagos
Details
The job functions include but not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for developing in each student an interest in and the ability to understand and utilize their knowledge of in ICT (IGCSE curriculum).
  • To maintain full and accurate records of students’ achievements as it relates to the subject.
  • Deliver engaging, coherent  and motivating lessons to students across in varying classes.
  • Utilize learning technology in the planning and delivery of lessons.
  • To keep up to date with curriculum change and reforms.
  • Develop lesson plans in line with the curriculum objectives.
  • To plan for, provide and maintain the physical resources necessary for learning and the delivery of chosen syllabuses and courses (including for example; books, past papers, file shares, furniture, equipment etc). Where necessary, liaise with other department to achieve this feat.
  • To oversee the provision of relevant and up to date advice and support for pupils as it relates to the subject.
  • To co-ordinate the selection and development of appropriate syllabus and courses in line with related resources.
  • To undertake, where appropriate, other roles, which may arise either in the department or in the wider school environment.
  • Any other duties relating to the job as required from time to time by the Head of School /Principal.

Candidate Requirements

  • Candidates should posses a minimum of B.Ed/B.Sc(Ed)/BA(Ed) or BA/B.Sc/HND plus PGDE in Computer Science or any other related discipline.
  • with minimun of 5 years teaching experience.

 

Job Title: Hostel Parent for Male & Female Students
Location: Lagos
Job Description

  • Serve as parental guardian to borders.
  • Ensure boarders carry out all academic activities both within and outside school hours.
  • Ensure borders portray good moral principles as being obedient, and respectful always.
  • Ensure the hostel is conducive enough for learning, relaxation and rest.
  • Address any wayward or disrespectful behaviour from borders.
  • Go over school and lesson notes and look for areas where students are experiencing difficulties.
  • Monitor students closely in case of injury or internal fight.
  • Be in direct link with borders parents to give reports concerning their wards
  • Take up at least one/two subjects in relevant field of study.
  • Perform any other role as assigned to you by the head of school

Requirements

  • A University Degree in any discipline.
  • Ability to supervise and manage Adolescents effectively.
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years cognate experience required.
  • Teaching experience an added advantage.
  • Having IGCSE and checkpoint tutorship experience will be of added advantage.
  • Must be a lover of children.
  • Must be friendly and social.
  • Must be a disciplinarian.
  • Must be a Lagos Resident.

 

Job Position: Student Development Officer
Location: Lagos
Roles

  • Conducting training for students as well as for student officers and representatives
  • Supporting student development opportunities advancements through counseling and other means
  • Preparing budgets for the student development programs
  • Help in maintaining relationship between the students and academic staff of the school
  • Establishing programs that help in all round development of the students
  • Coordinating with the students in order to set up student societies

Requirements

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in similar roles
  • Excellent leadership abilities.
  • Ability to improve quality of Education by implementing quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of British & Nigerian curriculum would be an advantage.
  • B.Sc. & Masters in Education or related fields
  • Master’s Degree in Education Administration, Curriculum Development or Quality Control, some of which should have been in a school leadership position.
  • Experience in teaching IGCSE A level learners would be preferred.

 

Job Position: Deputy School Administrator
Location: Lagos
Job Description

  • The Deputy School Administrator will be responsible for providing dynamic and professional leadership for the school that builds upon a change to secure its continued success and improvement, ensuring high quality education for all its students and improved standards of achievement.

Requirements

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Should be able to teach minimum of two (2) subjects
  • Experience in teaching IGCSE A level learners would be preferred.
  • Excellent leadership abilities.
  • Ability to improve quality of Education by implementing quality assurance.
  • B.Sc. & Masters in Education
  • Master’s Degree in Education Administration, Curriculum Development or Quality Control, some of which should have been in a school leadership position.

Job Title: Head of School/School Administrator
Location: Lagos
Job Description

  • The Head teacher/administrator will be responsible for providing dynamic and professional leadership for the school that builds upon a change to secure its continued success and improvement, ensuring high quality education for all its students and improved standards of achievement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop agendas, meetings and arrange for speakers and meeting minutes with parents.
  • Manage staff attendance, submit timesheets and enter time into online timesheet system.
  • Handle authorized emergency and safety procedures.
  • Ensure policies and practices consider national, local and school inspection research findings.
  • Supervise and evaluate school policy effects and take action where necessary.
  • Ensure a reasonable teacher-staff school work balance.
  • Sustain staff performance management effective systems and incorporate teachers’ appraisals and targets for School’s achievement.
  • Arrange head teacher performance management.
  • Provide inspiring and purposeful leadership for the staff and pupils.
  • To ensure that management, finances, organisation and administration of the school supports its vision and aims.
  • To ensure that all those involved in the school are committed to its aims, motivated to achieve them, and involved in meeting long, medium and short term objectives and targets which secure the educational success of the school.
  • Develop creative and responsive approaches to teaching and learning.
  • To work in partnership with the governing body, staff and parents generating the ethos and values which will underpin the school.
  • To continue to implement a Development Plan which will secure continuous school improvement
  • Assess, organize and execute flexible curriculum and effective assessment framework.
  • Strategize development of emerging technologies to extend learning experience.
  • Plan, support and assess individuals and teams’ work to ensure task delegation.

Teaching And Learning:

  • Continue to maintain an environment that promotes and secures good teaching, effective learning, high standards of achievement and good behaviour.
  • Determine, organise, implement and monitor the curriculum and its assessment and ensure that statutory requirements are met.
  • Ensure that pupils develop study skills in order to learn more effectively and with increasing independence.

Accountability:

  • Continue to develop an organisation in which all the staff recognise that they are accountable for the success of the school.
  • Ensure that parents/carers and pupils are well informed about the curriculum, attainment and progress and about the contribution they can make in supporting their child’s learning and achieving the school’s targets for improvement.
  • Provide information, objective advice and support to the Governing Body to enable it to meet its responsibilities for securing effective teaching and learning and improved standards of achievement, and for achieving efficiency and value for money.
  • Carry out any such duties as may be reasonably required by the Governing Body.

The Prospect Must Demonstrate:

  • Significant teaching experience
  • Proven expertise in leading a Core Subject
  • Proven record of raising standards and securing good progress through outstanding classroom practice
  • Proven experience of managing staff, leadership and team building
  • Experience of leading in-service training with staff
  • Up to date knowledge of child protection procedures and a commitment to safeguarding pupils.

Education And Experience

  • Experience in teaching IGCSE A level learners would be preferred.
