She Code Africa is a registered non-profit organisation empowering girls and women across Africa with technical and soft skills needed to match or scale their careers in STEM With a mission to bring in more girls and women in Africa into technology through our offline hands-on-training and events focused on all aspects of technology while also giving a platform and voice to existing members helping them grow technically.

Role Summary


  • We are seeking a resourceful Partnership & Grants Associate to join our team for a Full time role.
  • This role will be primarily based in Lagos, Nigeria but remote and will be focused on identifying and securing funding opportunities, strengthening donor and partner relationships, and supporting our fundraising strategy. 
  • This is the ideal role for someone with at least 1-2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagement, someone passionate about using partnerships to drive lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting proposals, including outcomes, theory of change, and background.
  • Maintain calendars for upcoming grant deadlines and submission windows.
  • Coordinate with finance and programs teams on budgets and data requests.
  • Ensure timely submission of application materials and attachments.
  • Organize documentation and grant folders for reference and audits.
  • Track and follow up on donor reporting timelines and requirements.
  • Assist in organizing funder visits, calls, or project showcases.
  • Support cultivation efforts like donor appreciation gifts, emails, or spotlights.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in grants management, fundraising, and or donor relations in a nonprofit or social impact setting.
  • Strong research and writing skills, especially in crafting proposals and donor communications.
  • Experience maintaining databases or CRM systems for tracking funders and opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
  • Confidence in engaging with stakeholders and donors with professionalism and clarity.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit compliance, reporting, and fundraising best practices.
  • Strong alignment with She Code Africa’s mission and values.
  • Ability to work remotely with a high degree of initiative and independence.
