Plant Production Coordinator

Our client is a leading agricultural production company involved in the use of sustainable methodology to produce crude palm kernel oil (CPO), crude kernel oil (CKO) and their derivatives. Roles and Responsibilities


  1. Manage daily operations in the plant facility
  2. Ensure safety and efficiency of the facility
  3. Test and monitor plant processes
  4. Maintain compliance with facility standards and guidelines including without limitation SON, NAFDAC, HSE etc.
  5. Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility
  6. Work closely with Corporate Controller and quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement.
  7. Review established production schedules to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
  8. Ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees – personnel and process safety.
  9. Maintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program, including all timely communication initiatives.
  10. Execute plant production budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years’ plant operations experience in CPO, CKO or H2O Bottling Plant
  • 7+ years progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility.
  • Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends.
  • Previous experience/strong understanding of budgeting/expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices.
  • Previous experience/best practices implementing and using best practices to drive improvement.
  • Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.

Skills / Competencies

  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering.
  • Aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants
  • Ability to lead root cause analysis investigations
  • Ability to explain training material to operators
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.
