Job Description

  • The main responsibility of the Project Officer is to support the organization’s strategic framework and program plan for Child Protection and prevention of Child Sexual Abuse in Nigeria.
  • He/She will assist in the designing, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of all programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement a programme strategy that aligns with the organization’s core objectives associated with international best practices.
  • Support the development and implementation of development projects.
  • Manage projects budget and other related costs.
  • Work closely with the M&E manager to implement, monitor and evaluate the organisation’s projects across several locations.
  • Prepare regular reports on impacts of programs.
  • Develop various Programmes and protocols
  • Assist with the implementation of new Programmes
  • Ensure adherence to quality Programme implementation
  • Develop screening system for Scheduled Programmes
  • Develops work plans and makes monthly and annual projections for the Programmes
  • Apply sound management and strategic design to Programmes
  • Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities, as well as cultivate government, business, CSR and community development, and marketing relationships
  • Plan and Review all Programme budgets
  • Report weekly/monthly to the Centre manager on Programmes and respond to questions regarding to the Programmes.

Qualifications
Job Specification:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Social or Development Studies, Project Management or related field; a Masters' Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 cognate years as a program officer in an NGO
  • Demonstrate success in managing a fast-paced, multi-faceted Programme that requires high levels of collaboration with partners
  • Proven experience working in an NGO.
  • Fundraising and budgeting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities, as well as cultivate government, business, CSR and community development, and marketing relationships
  • High capacity for relationship management and coordinating various stakeholders/interests
  • Ability to navigate a complex political environment, and negotiate and achieve consensus
  • Strong problem solving skills and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to think creatively with a bias to make outsized impacts with limited, constrained resources
  • Hard-working and energetic collaborator who creates trust, exudes credibility and elevates enthusiasm of all internal and external contacts

Remuneration
NGN193,000 monthly.
