We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Quality Control Assistant
Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities


  • Evaluates bulk raw and packaging materials, conducts stability studies, and performs root cause analysis with corrective actions.
  • Tests incoming raw and packaging materials (resins, pigments, solvents, extenders, additives, etc.) following standard sampling procedures.
  • Performs physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses to verify purity, composition, key physical properties, and compliance with internal and regulatory specifications.
  • Compares results with QA standards, supplier COAs, and relevant regulations to determine material acceptance, quarantine, or rejection.
  • Maintains accurate quality reports, test records, and full traceability documentation.
  • Communicates non-conformities to Procurement and suppliers and supports production by investigating raw-material-related issues and recommending adjustments.
  • Conducts raw material stability tests and ensures materials are stored and used within their shelf life.
  • Ensures regulatory and safety compliance, including maintaining SDS and verifying hazardous substances.
  • Supports continuous improvement by evaluating alternative suppliers, qualifying new materials with R&D, and updating material specifications.
  • Timely documentation, sign-offs, and transfer of records to the Technical Department, and uploads data to the shared drive

Training and Knowledge Requirements

  • ISO 9001: 2015 Certification,
  • Good Manufacturing Practice
  • Good Laboratory Practice
  • Root cause Analysis,
  • Product traceability.
  • Proven knowledge of standard operating procedures in a chemistry laboratory
  • Good understanding of procedures, quality standards and various product specifications
  • Proven knowledge of various testing methods to confirm and measure different types of products and materials for quality purposes
  • Basic knowledge of quality assurance /control measures
  • Good understanding of safety procedures in the Laboratory
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
