We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Quality Control Shift Incharge
Job Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time
Summary
- The QC Shift Incharge will be responsible for overseeing quality control operations during their assigned shift, ensuring that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- They will coordinate with production, maintenance, and QA teams to resolve quality issues in real-time and ensure smooth functioning of QC activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all QC activities during the shift.
- Monitor in-process and finished product quality parameters to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Ensure proper sampling, testing, and documentation as per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Review test results and approve/reject materials/products accordingly.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to address quality concerns promptly.
- Ensure calibration and proper functioning of all QC instruments and equipment.
- Maintain shift-wise quality records, reports, and logbooks.
- Train and guide QC analysts/operators to ensure adherence to procedures.
- Participate in internal audits, inspections, and continuous improvement activities.
- Escalate critical quality issues to the QC Manager/QA Head
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field
- Experience: 6–10 years in Quality Control in a manufacturing industry (pharma, food, chemical, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in chemical/microbiological testing, HPLC/GC operations (if applicable)
- Familiarity with GMP/ISO standards and regulatory compliance
