Job Position: Finance Intern

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Internship

Purpose


  • We have a need for a highly motivated and analytical finance intern to support our finance team.
  • The intern will gain practical experience in various financial functions, including Accounts Payable and Receivable, Tax Compliance practices, Account Reporting, and Financial Analysis.
  • They will work closely with experienced professionals to learn industry best practices and contribute to the overall financial operations of the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process payment, receipts and invoices under supervision
  • Timely compliance and remittance of statutory deductions VAT, WHT, PAYE
  • Reconciliation of bank, intercompany activities and identifying discrepancies.
  • Conduct research on market trends, competitors, or investment opportunities.
  • Prepare finance presentations and reports.
  • Organize and maintain financial documents for audits.
  • Participate in special projects or initiatives as assigned.
  • Posting of daily transactions
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.

Qualifications Required

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • NYSC: Currently Serving or about to serve

Skills Required:

  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Understanding of financial principles, including general ledger, journal entries, and accruals.
  • Experience with gathering data and writing concise reports.
