1 Hundred HR Consult - Our client is a high-tech company in the renewable energy industry. The company has offices at Abuja-FCT, Lekki - Lagos State, Awka – Anambra State and with business partners at major cities around Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Senior Accountant

Job Description


  • The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the management of information technologies, insurance, sales tax reporting, federal income tax reporting, outside audits and human resources.
  • The individual may also perform cash management functions and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, payroll and bank reconciliation functions.
  • He or she will in essence be responsible for the financial and regulatory compliance. The individual will be reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage cashflow and resource planning to enable delivery of efficiency
  • Manage all accounting operations including billing, account receivables, account payable, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
  • Assist the CFO in coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Qualification and Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Economics or related degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience practicing accountancy at mid-management level
  • Relevant certification (ICAN or ACCA)
  • Experience in the energy sector will be an advantage
