Job Position: Ticketing Officer GDS Professional (Amadeus and Galileo)

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Make Reservations/Bookings for Customers, Issuing flight tickets:
• Make Ticket Booking, Quote Fare, and send directly to Customers or as directed.
• Helping passengers and customers with inquiries regarding changes or cancellations; and promoting special offers.
• Using computer reservations systems to check availability.
• Determines whether space is available on Travel Dates requested by Customer.
• Arrange Reservations and Routing for Passengers at Request or as directed.
• Inform Clients of Essential Travel Information, such as Travel Times.
• Answering questions regarding dates, prices, and availability of flights.
• Educate and Enlighten Customer on the New and Existing Products of the Company.
• Follow up on Enquiries and Convert it to Sales.
• Keep Informed of Business Changes that affect the Ticketing Area.
• Sell travel products.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in using computer reservation systems (CRS) or global distribution systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
• Proficient in using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other ticketing software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good knowledge of geography, airline routes, and fare structures.
• Previous experience in ticketing, reservations, or customer service in a travel agency or airline is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing tickets and reservations.
• Familiarity with travel-related documentation, visa requirements, and travel insurance is advantageous.

Requirements

• Minimum of a B.Sc. / HND qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of ticketing experience
• Proficiency in the use of any two of the 3 GDS is a must especially amadeus
• Strong Analytical skills
• Certification in Travels and Tourism is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive attitude and a growth mindset.

Salary
N100,000 / month.
