Veritas University was founded by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria through a resolution given at its March 2002 meeting in Abuja. The University is located at Bwari, Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The mission of Veritas University is to provide its students with an integral and holistic formation that combines academic and professional training with physical, moral, spiritual, social, and cultural formation together with formation of Christian religious principles and the social teachings of the Catholic Church.

The Governing Council of Veritas University, Abuja hereby invites applications to fill the position below:

The Job

• The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the University as well as the Chairman of Senate and Member of the Governing Council.

Requirements

• The candidate for the post must have been a Professor for not less than 10 years with an unbroken service within the university system during this period.
• He/she is required to possess a good university Degree including a Ph.D.
• He/she is expected to be able to serve the full term of five years before attaining the retirement age of 70 years, and must be of good physical and mental health.

Salary and Conditions of Service

• The salary and the conditions of service shall be as negotiated with the Governing Council.

• Publications in Scimago/Scopus/Thomson Reuters rated journals and listed in chronological order,
• National and International Honours/Awards,
• Positions held with dates,
• Any other relevant information.
• Every candidate shall submit 15 copies of statement of his/her own vision and mission for the university in the next five (5) years.
