Padua Petroleum Nigeria Limited (PPNL) is an indigenous company established to provide a unique range of services to the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry.

We venture into the this industry with the objective of building on existing limited in- country capacity. In view of the enormous opportunities which abound in the Oil and Gas industry in Nigeria and the new findings in other African countries, there is need for more indigenous players to fill the yawning gap by providing competitiveness and quality service delivery to the industry.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Commissioning Manager
Job Location:
Owa Alidinma, Delta

Description of Responsibilities/Functions

  • Carries out a detailed assessment of the work involved in the individual group as well as discipline with respect to the commissioning and assess the available resources and possible constraints in the execution of the same. Prepares manpower organization to fulfill the commissioning schedule.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines/ subcontractors to resolve interface problems. Oversees and ensures all construction activities are completed prior to taking up the system for commissioning and ensure the setting up of safety procedures for the same.
  • Coordinates with the commissioning Engineers and ensures the development of integrated commissioning plans/procedures including the scope of commissioning activities, duration for each, scope of interlinked activities, resources required, constraints regarding the same, as well as availability of tools and machinery in addition to overseeing the preparation of commissioning schedules based on the quantum of job and duration for each activity as well as prioritize system completion requirements in order to steer construction completion.
  • Provides guidance to the Commissioning Engineers in analyzing the scope as per contract and battery limit /guarantees as well as ensure the preparation of procedures for systematic and sequential pre

  • Supervises Construction, logistics administration, field engineering, material approvals, coordination with
  • Client, planning, Progress monitoring & cost control.
  • Ensures that all safety and precautionary requirements and procedures are followed during the commissioning process
  • Hands over the plant to client in line with the commissioning schedules and client requirements.
  • Responsible for oversight of all system commissioning and performance testing
  • Work with vendors during the checkout, start up and commissioning Phase verification for synchronization and assist with performance testing
  • Understanding of turn-over package requirements and preparation of 3rd party testing is required
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Drive HSSE through all construction/commissioning activity and ensure that all construction/commissioning activity is in line with HSSE standards and that a robust culture of HSSE is driven through construction/commissioning teams and service providers.

Specific KPI Targets:

  • Commissioning of the Project facility in compliance to the engineering, health, safety, and environment requirement.

  • Contractor Project Team

Requirements

  • A Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in related Oil and Gas field. 10yrs Experience in commissioning & start up in the oil and Gas facilities
  • Must have experience with preparation of commissioning and start up procedures in industrial construction
  • Technical knowledge of applicable Installation and construction management procedures.

Knowledge of construction project practices and procedures:

  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Work Location - Owa Alidinma (Delta).
