Job Description


  • The Director heads the directorate of Baptist Mission Schools and has the constitutional responsibilities, among other things, to supervise, coordinate, nurture, monitor, and tenaciously implement policies formulated by the Education Management Board for effective management, growth, and development of Baptist Mission Schools.
  • The appointment is tenured for five years in the first instance and may be renewed for a second and final term of five years subject to satisfactory performance.
  • He is also the Secretary to the Board. In pursuit of academic excellence, the directorate aims at inculcating the character of Christ into the lives of the students with a view to making them better citizens.
  • The Directorate is located at Bodija in Ibadan and currently has fourteen (1 4) schools in its purview, spread across the nation.

Competencies and Other Requirements

  • Must be within 40-55 years of age at the time of assumption of duty (June -July, 2017).
  • Must be an educationist to the core with a Master’s degree in Education and at least 7 years post Master’s experience in management and administration of schools.
  • A minimum of 15 years cumulative post first degree experience is mandatory.
  • Must have a very strong coordination and organizational leadership skills as well as
  • being multi-task oriented.
  • Must be goal-oriented, target-driven and must provide evidence of proven track record of best practice in successful management of school.
  • Must be a committed Baptist with impeccable record of integrity and hardwork.
  • Must be analytical and versatile in all computer applications.
  • Must be energetic, resourceful, innovative, visionary, and able to work under extreme pressure.

Remuneration
