HR / Business Development Principal Officer Job in Port Harcourt

Job Position: HR/Business Development Principal Officer
Location: Rivers
Reports to: Head, HR/Business Development
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources:


  • Manage recruitment process and portfolio evaluations
  • Manage HR related issues such as leaves, work absence, grievances, disciplinary procedures, remunerations/ salary reviews, negotiations,
  • Maintain human resources records
  • Identify human resources applicable federal and state laws, interpret, implement and keep records/ registers of such laws
  • HR policy reviews and supervising implementation; reviews of staff handbooks
  • Drive performance appraisals.  
  • Work with teams to identify required competencies, manage personnel training plan and sometimes deliver trainings e.g. inductions for new staff, work ethics and culture of company, etc

Business Development:

  • Expansion of company registrations with the oil majors
  • Increase sales for the company
  • Evaluate company services/ products vis-à-vis industry standards and requirements
  • Drive digital marketing  and social media marketing
  • Identify applicable federal and state laws that govern company operations, products/ services, keep records/ registers and ensure company compliance
  • Quality assurance for company services
  • Manage company-client relationship

Qualifications/Requirements

  • First degree (minimum second class lower) in Human Resource Management.
  • Masters degree in HR is an added advantage.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Self motivated, good drive and passion for excellence
  • CIPM membership or equivalent is required.
  • 3-5 years post graduation experience.
