Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN)
The Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN) is an indigenous Non-Governmental Organization and the national umbrella body that coordinates and administers all support groups, constituencies, associations and organizations of persons living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. NEPWHAN was founded in 1998, with a support group membership of over 1,030 which cut across the 36 States of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Under the Global Fund “Optimizing for Impact in HIV and TB in Nigeria” Project, Family Health International (FHI360) was selected as the Principal Recipient (PR). Similarly, FHI360 selected NEPWHAN as one of its Sub-Recipients (SRs) to implement the Global Fund Care and Support component of the Grant. With this responsibility, NEPWHAN is to coordinate care and support activities to improve retention in HIV care in 10 + 1 States.
