We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Rivers

Primary Responsibilities


  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports developed by subordinates for accuracy and completeness.
  • Draft cash-flow plans, reports, financial statements and internal audits for presentation to management and Board of Directors when necessary.
  • General administration of the finance and accounts department.
  • Overseeing the company's Fund Management as well as Asset management
  • Ensure the company is compliant with ALL Statutory remittances such as WHT, VAT, PENCOM, NSITF, Tenement rates, etc.
  • Ensure optimal payroll administration and ensure staff remittances such as PAYE, Pensions, allowances, etc. are duly effected
  • Develop and maintain external beneficial relationships with appropriate contacts like solicitors, auditors, bankers and statutory organisations such as State and Federal Inland Revenue Services for ease of business.
  • Be well informed and updated on changes in financial regulations and legislation such as exchange rates, taxation, auditing, valuations, etc.
  • Conduct financial reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities by analysing revenue and expenditure trends which will form basis for recommendation of appropriate budget levels.
  • Engage in active debt-drive, invoicing and promptly effect approved contractor/supplier's payments
  • Maintain Computerised Accounting System and ensure Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Management Accounts are prepared and presented.
