We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Internal Auditor

Job Location: Ekiti
Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and objective assessments of the Bank's internal controls over financial reporting, operations, and compliance.
• Identify and evaluate potential risks, recommending and implementing control improvements.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports, detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans.
• Follow up on the implementation of agreed-upon actions arising from audits.
• Assist with investigations into suspected fraud or irregularities.
• Maintain a strong understanding of relevant accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices for internal audit.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation a strong plus).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within a banking environment.
• Proven ability to conduct independent and objective audits.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex matters to various levels of management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a working knowledge of internal audit software a plus.
