Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited was incorporated in December 2009 with the business objective of providing financial service to micro clients who were excluded from the mainstream financial system. It commenced operations in June 2010 upon obtaining a Unit Microfinance Banking License from the Central Bank of Nigeria. It later obtained a State Microfinance Banking License in 2016. Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited's financial inclusion effort focuses on promoting savings culture, access to credit facilities for income-generation purposes, and reducing vulnerability to risk through microinsurance.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Human Capital Management Officer


Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support end-to-end recruitment processes, including shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding of new hires.
  • Conduct and ensure comprehensive background, reference, and security checks for all new recruits prior to onboarding.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the induction program for new employees to ensure a smooth integration into the organization.
  • Facilitate employee orientation, development, and training in line with identified needs and performance gaps.
  • Oversee and monitor staff attendance to work and ensure compliance with attendance policies.
  • Maintain and update staff documentation and personnel records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and easily retrievable.
  • Coordinate batching and proper filing of all employee documents for both physical and electronic archives.
  • Carry out verification of academic and professional qualifications for all new hires.
  • Issue staff leave advice and maintain updated leave records for employees proceeding on leave.
  • Coordinate the filing and compilation of annual staff appraisal forms, ensuring timely submission and documentation.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with all departments to support HR operations and resolve personnel-related matters.
  • Perform other HR-related tasks or special assignments as may be delegated by the Head, Human Capital Management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
  • Must have completed NYSC.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

2.) Internal Control Officer

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Conducting confidential investigations on control breaches.
  • Vault cash count and register
  • Ensure the physical cash correlates with the system balance
  • Ensure loan officer`s and teller`s till are balanced and zero
  • Spooling of uncheck SMS report, investigate why the customer(s) was unchecked
  • Spool weekly repayment report to call customer`s with previous day shortfall (at least 20 customers in a week), investigate why repayment was not made
  • Checking of LO`s till for daily postings on field
  • Marking of LO`s ledgers.
  • Ensuringall customer cash collections are deposited in correspondent banks, and any undeposited funds are securely boxed in the vault.
  • Verifying and Sending of disbursement advice to the appropriate unit
  • Ensure adequate care and maintenance of bank’s properties.
  • Monitors organization wide compliance with laid down policies, processes and procedure to ensure adherence.
  • Review & manage the day-to-day activities attendance register and operational issues.
  • Ensure that strategies defined are implemented by Internal Audit Team for accomplishment of the department’s objectives.
  • Carry out specific management assigned tasks.
  • Assist in carrying out Full Scale Inspection & Audit.
  • Calling over of transactions and quality control.
  • Checking of Loan Officer’s daily transactions.
  • Report all form of infraction affecting the business arising from daily situations.
  • Conducting random spot check with other unit on processes and operations to identify potential weaknesses or deviations from the established procedures.
  • Query all anomalies discovered from spot check.
  • Attend to deceased customer`s report, if any.
  • Assess the primary risks facing the bank and identify risk mitigation measures.
  • Managing the risks associated with the different Units in the bank (Enterprise Risk Management) and following up to ensure compliance on all observations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4years of relevant experience in internal auditing or internal control, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Solid knowledge of internal control frameworks and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

3.) Enterprise Risk Management Officer

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

  • The Enterprise Risk Management Officer will be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks across various Units of the Bank.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the Bank’s core risk areas and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Manage and monitor risk exposures across various units, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Create, analyze, and disseminate risk reports and dashboards for internal control and senior management review.
  • Follow up on compliance issues and audit observations, ensuring timely closure and control remediation.
  • Review and escalate findings from customer complaints received via the Bank’s toll-free telephone line, and support investigations in collaboration with the Unit Head.
  • Conduct daily transaction checks and exception reports, especially those related to field operations and loan disbursement.
  • Perform transaction call-over, quality control checks, and loan officer activity reviews.
  • Support the documentation and continuous improvement of the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
  • Participate in periodic risk assessments, stress testing, and internal audits.
  • Carry out other ad hoc risk-related assignments as directed by the Unit Head.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in risk, compliance, or internal control, preferably within a microfinance or retail banking institution.
  • Familiarity with risk frameworks such as Risk Management Graduation Model (RMGM), and a strong understanding of CBN/NDIC regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in risk reporting, issue tracking, and operational control monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Strong ethical judgment and attention to detail.
  • Professional certification is an added advantage.
