1.) Fiber Engineer

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are hiring a Fiber Engineer for Fiber Connected Solar Base Stations.
• As a fiber Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fiber optic network.
• You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber connections to our base stations.
• This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of network quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, splice, and test fiber optic cables for base stations
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure network integrity.
• Conduct site surveys to plan and design fiber optic pathways.
• Collaborate with the network operations team to optimize fiber connections.
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Respond to network outages and perform emergency repairs as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a fiber Engineer or similar role in telecommunications.
• In-depth knowledge of fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and testing techniques.
• Proficiency with fiber optic testing equipment (OTDR, power meters, etc.).
• Familiarity with network infrastructure and base station connectivity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., FOA, CFOT) are a plus.

Salary
N133,000 - N155,000 Monthly.

2.) NOC Field Engineer

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• The Network Operation Centre (NOC) is responsible for ensuring the maximum possible service availability and performance of base stations and the internal network.
• Sitting within the NOC, the network team is responsible for managing and interacting frequently with Technical Support, Managed Support, Service Provisioning, and Sales teams, and communicating ideas and information to people from a non-technical background.
• We also work very closely with the Design and Engineering teams, and as such, need to have a good all-round understanding of networks and systems.
• Importantly, develop a solid understanding of products and processes, join our call-out rota providing 24x7 support as well as covering both planned and unplanned out-of-hours work as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure stable and reliable network services (e.g., access points, service networks, and core network).
• Day-to-day network performance monitoring.
• Network troubleshooting and fault analysis; hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Resolution of trouble tickets and response, carrier interface, and escalations.
• Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools.
• Application of configuration changes via our change control systems and processes.
• Installation of network hardware and software.
• Participate in a 24x7 call-out rota.
• Monitor base station access points and routers
• Build base stations
• Liaise with support/customer service teams regarding customer complaints and resolution
• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure uptime is maintained, and perform corrective maintenance
• Perform network equipment upgrade, installation, and configuration
• Provide active network surveillance, maintenance, and fault management to ensure optimum uptime, network stability, and security
• Create and follow up on trouble tickets about network issues until resolution
• Collate technical documentation and reports on network changes, events, and configurations
• Ensure that the base stations have 99% uptime by the Target SLA.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Second class upper (2.1, 2.2) or Upper Credit
• University degree or HND in engineering, computer science, information technology, or any other related discipline.
• An added advantage is to have certifications, such as Networking, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

Salary
N130,000 - N155,000 monthly.

3.) Field Technical Engineer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Field Technical Engineer is responsible for the deployment, installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic infrastructure at customer and network sites.
• This role requires hands-on technical expertise to support fiber rollouts, customer activations, and fault resolution, ensuring reliable and high-quality service delivery.
• The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing seamless connectivity to both residential and business customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute field installations of fiber optic cables for FTTH, FTTB, and backbone networks.
• Perform fiber splicing, termination, and testing using OTDR, power meters, and splicing machines.
• Conduct site surveys for new deployments and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
• Install, configure, and test customer-premises equipment (CPE) such as ONUs and routers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues for residential and enterprise customers.
• Ensure clean, secure, and compliant routing/termination of fiber cables.
• Collaborate with the NOC and support teams to provide timely field updates and resolve escalations.
• Follow all health, safety, and quality standards during installations and repairs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of all field activities, fiber routes, and site visits.
• Provide basic training and guidance to customers on the use and care of installed equipment.

Requirements
