We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Recovery Officer


Job Locations: Oyingbo, Tradefair, Oshodi, Lagos Island, Idumota, Ajah, Ikeja, Mushin, Ladipo, Egbeda, Agege, Mile 12, Ikorodu - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objective

  • To perform diligently the cash office function that would enhance the financial control environment of the organization whilst contributing to add value and exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Follow up with past due obligations as allocated by the Head of Recovery
  • Providing Feedback to the head of the recovery on loan delinquency issues
  • A regular visit to defaulting facility holders until liquidated
  • Conducting intelligent survey and investigation of suspected portfolio
  • Monitoring of ongoing facilities and notifying credit officers on credit status in terms of expired facilities and maturing dates
  • Critical review on allocated portfolio and propose workout strategies toward repayment
  • Assisting the Head of Recovery on day-to-day operations
  • Verification of customers' details and addresses for record keeping purposes to ease recovery in the event of default.
  • Prepare required reports and information as specified by the superior.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Attend to additional official duties which is not mentioned above and assigned by the management time to time, in line with the business, procedures, policies, guidelines and practices of the Company.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of all information pertaining to the Company and the Organization obtained externally or internally during employment and refrain from divulging same to any third party.

2.) Head of Risk

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Objectives

  • Establish an integrated Risk Management framework for all aspects of risks across the Bank; develop risk management policies, including the qualification of the Bank’s risks appetite through specific risk limits.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Appraising and analysing all loans requests with aim of protecting the Bank’s risk assets while ensuring that the loans appraised are in line with the Bank’s credit policy.
  • Ensure the achievement of stated turnaround times for loan review, analysis, appraisal on daily basis.
  • Ensure all required data/information are correctly entered and considered for credit decision making.
  • Ensure operational and service excellence in the FTM Bank branch network
  • Participate in managerial and departmental decision making which would result in adding value to the organisation as a whole.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of all information pertaining to the FTM Bank obtained externally or internally during the course of employment and refrain from disclosing same to any third party
  • Reconcile all basis of recommendation of loan on cash flow/capacity.
  • Ensure PAR of the allocated branches’ portfolio is not more than 5%.
  • Attend to customer’s request both physically and in proxy in a friendly and welcoming manner to gain repeat business.
  • Ensure provision of timely report on all credit related report, conducting credit check on loan customers.
  • Monitoring of credit risk development and quality at portfolio level, proposes measures for improvement, prepares credit risk report.
  • Supervision of the work on credit risk policies, rules and methodologies
  • Ensure effective management and resolution of conflicts, build participative processes that can accommodate requests at short notice in order to derive the maximum mileage for the organization in a rapidly changing/dynamic environment.
  • Create and facilitate cooperation and effective two-way communication among all stakeholders including employees and constituents to create win-win results.
  • Take ownership of maintaining harmonious industrial relations at the Bank.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, or related field required.
  • 5 - 10 years of related experience preferred.
  • Microfinance experience is an added advantage.

Required Skills and Qualifications;

3.) Legal Officer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting to: Head of Legal

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison officer with Police, EFCC and other Law Enforcement Agencies.
  • Drafting and review of all legal agreements which includes but not limited to Loan Agreements, Deed of Legal Mortgage, Deed of Equitable Mortgage, Deed of Assignment, Deed of Sale, Tenancy Agreement, Lease Agreement, Service Level Agreement, Cash Collection Agreement, and Asset Financing Agreements.
  • Liaison with the recovery department and provide assistance where needed on the recovery of past due obligations.
  • Draft and review of loan documentation.
  • Ensuring legal compliance with loan documentation before disbursing.
  • Liaising with external solicitors as regards the Banks' exposure; securities and collateral.
  • Liaising with the risk management of the Bank to ensure the protection of the bank's assets.
  • Conduct searches at the Corporate Affairs Commission, Lands' Registry, Probates Registry, as the case may be.
  • Ensure the proper custody of the Banks' seal and legal agreements.
  • Verification and sign off on all legal documents.
  • Liaison with recovery department and providing assistance where needed on the recovery of past due obligations.
  • Assist with Company secretarial services where and if required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • LLB in Law and BL with common law background.
  • At least 3 years post call experience in a similar position
  • Not more than 5 years post call.
