Job Position: Payroll Specialist

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our payroll team.
• The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in payroll, human resources, accounting, or consulting, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and statutory compliance. Professional certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update payroll records, employee data, and salary structures
• Calculate salaries, tax deductions, pensions, bonuses, and other statutory remittances
• Ensure compliance with all payroll laws and regulations (e.g., PAYE, NHF, NSITF, pension)
• Prepare and submit payroll reports to management
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding salaries, deductions, and payslips
• Assist with audits and end-of-year payroll reports
• Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate financial and employee data.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in payroll, HR, accounting, or consulting
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems, statutory deductions, and Nigerian labor laws
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll software/tools
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• High level of confidentiality and integrity
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, HRCI, SHRM) is mandatory.

Salary

• N250,000 - N300,000 per month.
