Moove is on a mission to redefine what large-scale rideshare leasing and vehicle ownership look like in Africa. We are developing an innovative model to rapidly improve the availability of vehicles for on-demand ridesharing services across major metro cities while also creating sustainable jobs for drivers.

Job Position: Product Designer

Job Description


  • You will be responsible for collaborating with our multicultural, distributed team to work on a variety of internal and client-facing products in the mobility and fintech spaces.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Creating detailed solutions that solve real user problems by creating wireframes, high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes
  • Cooperating directly with the development team and providing handover
  • Working on mobile and web-based products
  • Ensuring a high-quality output of your work
  • Helping to develop an internal design system
  • Conduct research, user test and interviews with users and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other designers & product managers to maintain consistency across design approaches for all the products
  • Keep evolving our products’ language and improve existing design solutions to make them accessible and intuitive

Requirements
What You will need for this position:

  • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree
  • At least 2+ years of commercial (4+ for senior position) experience with Ul & UX design
  • Fluent command of spoken and written English
  • Familiarity with Figma
  • Complex prototyping experience
  • Relevant portfolio
  • The ability to work in a very dynamic environment and managing multiple stakeholders (and some can be very annoying, i.e. the lead designer)
  • High level of ownership and initiative
  • Ability to perform self-initiated and commissioned research
  • Ability to define and conduct user test and draw conclusions from the results
  • Passion for solving core product problems while owning all facets of a user experience (strategy, interaction design, and research)
  • Operate with a sense of urgency and always look for new ways to understand your customers and create value on their behalf
  • Self starter and ability to work in a complex and ambiguous environment in an independent manner.

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience with design systems
  • Prior banking, fintech or mobility experience
  • Cross-product application of branding guidelines
  • UX microcopy writing skills
  • The ability to comfortably switch working context
  • The ability to work in a very dynamic environment and managing multiple stakeholders
