Job Descriptions

• Examine animals to diagnose their health problems
• Diagnose and treat animals for medical conditions
• Operate medical equipments
• Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
• Prescribe medication
• visit farms and prospective poultry farmers
• Treat and dress wounds
• Perform surgery on animals
• Test for and vaccinate against diseases

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M. or V.M.D.) degree from an accredited college of veterinary medicine.
